Please. Lay off Kaladze, he's not THAT bad.

Maldini/Bonera played the first leg, we let in 3.

Kaladze played the full 90 in the second leg, we didn't concede. Take into account that United had to chase the game for 80 minutes.. They didn't need to do that in the first leg.

On the contrary, United HAD to win in Old Trafford to stand a chance in Italy. At San Siro they entered the pitch with a defensive set.

And don't just look at numbers. France's defense was much better than Italy's one in the '06 World Cup even if they conceded more. It's not just me, the Italians admitted so themselves!

They may have gone in with a defensive mind-set. But they went in with the same formation and same players (Except a better defense than the first leg) But when they were down they had to throw everybody forward, Kaladze didn't make one mistake. Just because he didn't do anything spectacular doesn't mean he played badly.

A defenders job is not to play superb, it's not to do anything wrong.

I personally thought France had a very poor defense. Any team that has Evra in the squad has defensive issues. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Kaladze did some mistakes in positioning and he also tried to dribble Giggs (I think that was him) and it could have ended badly. Anyway, next to Nesta and God everybody would look good, even Phil Neville! I'll supporting each and everyone of our players tomorrow evening!

As for France's defence... well, I think Italians know better than any of us!

Dont know who you've been talking to, but i dont know a single Italian who has said that. Including me.

As for a better defense, statistics speak for themselves.
Prior to the final, 1 goal conceeded, and that was a penalty.
How many did France conceed on the way to the final? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) .

That's what I've been talking about... a defence is not just the goals conceeded...

I've been talking to Italians who came to Greece.

QUOTE
Milan vice president Adriano Galliani says the club are 'ready' to buy Andrei Shevchenko back from Chelsea - providing the price is right.

Shevchenko has failed to live up to expectations in the Premiership this season following his £30m move last summer, and there have been strong suggestions he will return to the San Siro.

And, while it is unlikely Milan would be willing to match the price Chelsea paid for the Ukraine striker, Galliani remains committed to getting his man.

"With the right conditions, as we have said for weeks, we are ready to buy him back," he told the Daily Star.

Many of those involved with Milan have come out to say there are no grudges against Shevchenko for moving to London last year, paving the way for his return to the club.

However, Galliani is concerned that their arch-rivals could yet steal the player from under their noses, with Internazionale president Massimo Moratti known to be a keen admirer of Shevchenko's ability.

"I know how to forgive betrayal. I just hope he does not speak to Moratti," he added.

"The only problem is the price."

I wouldn't even care if he went to Inter (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

He has given me enough surprise to last his whole playing career. But I doubt he would agree to talk to Inter, cuz of Berlusconi being his child's godfather and all.

It's not that. C'mon He won't even consider it. And there no reason to think he ever will. He knows whats that mean.

BTW Sheva scored more goals against Inter than any other team. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

I think it could possibly be one of the most shocking moves ever, if he did actually move to Inter, although it not being a direct move.

Still wouldn't top Figo from Barca to Madrid, that still cracks me up. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Y'know, I wouldn't put it past Moratti to try this.

But the Crespo deal was handled via fax (Inter must have a thing for faxes, what with getting a scudetto that way). Peter Kenyon and the other Chelsea directors stayed in London.

Right now, the only Chelsea employee in Milan is Shevchenko himself.

(Personally, I don't want to see him back. He walked out on the club, kissed the Chelsea jersey, etc etc. Let him rot in London. Or Kiev.)

I think I might let the jersey kissing go.

He wasn't exactly welcomed by the fans, I think it was just a showing that he wasn't there as Roman's friend, but as a Chelsea player.

I wouldn't mind seeing him back, he'd certainly be an upgrade on Oliviera. Plus I'd love to see who I consider to be the 2 most lethal strikers in my lifetime playing together.

R9 & Sheva would be a dream come true for me. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)
