QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jul 7 2011, 01:16 AM) I think he'll do just fine. Which means? It all depends on what the owner and directors expect and how much time they give him...

Well, that's the point, we can only guess, since the guy got his first job and we really can't tell.

QUOTE (Danny @ Jul 7 2011, 12:16 PM) I think we already are. Our forward line is as good as any bar Barca's, and by winning Serie A it's propelled us from being nearly men to being 'there' men. And we have the best defender in the world at the moment.
The only thing we probably miss is a killer midfielder - our midfield is good but lacks a Modric, Xavi, Sniejder etc. Our midfield imo is mediocre next to the big teams in Europe, and great defense and attack can only take you so far, the midfield is what connects that and makes it into a great team. We only have Boateng and VB who are starter material, looking at just the other top teams in Italy we have the poorest midfield imo, even Juve's is better then ours atm, let alone the rest of Europe

QUOTE (CrazyMilanFan @ Jul 7 2011, 01:21 PM) there is a small article on milannews which links us with G. rossi... I always get so ecited when we are linked with him big fan of him.... http://www.milannews.it/?action=read&idnotizia=56333Good player, but 1) he's never worth €30 million, and 2) we don't really need him. Our midfield is embarrassing. We need at least two quality signings in there. Hopefully Hamsik in a month and Ganso in January.

QUOTE (Danny @ Jul 7 2011, 02:35 PM) It's not stellar but it's not embarrassing either. We have Flamini, Van Bommel, Boateng, Seedorf. It's decent but not up there with the level of other European superpowers. I really don't count Seedorf, while Flamini is a good player, we can still do better since he's very limited. He'd be an obvious choice if it was between him or Rino/Ambro but we need someone who can add something to our midfield.

QUOTE (Danny @ Jul 7 2011, 02:12 PM) And yet this 'embarrassing' midfield won us the league? I know on paper it doesn't look great, but we still won the league with it. First half of the season was entirely down to Ibra pulling goals out of nothing which usually came from long balls. Another point to note is that the competition was pretty much non-existant last season with Inter struttering thoughout the first half of the season, Juve being laughable and same goes for Roma
