So, Mediaset is reporting that Leonardo is after Antonini. I'd welcome this move, if Galliani has another fullback in mind. But, Antonini is a good backup and has the needed experience, therefore he will be hard to replace (as a backup).

Also, we are again linked with Ogbonna. What do you guys know of him?

I think it's better if we play with ten men than with Antonini, so I'd welcome this move either way.

I know nothing of Ogbonna.

I don't keep up to speed with this thread as much as I should, but I do know of our link to Hamsik.

I barely even know who he is, and was staggered to read his cost is £90M.

QUOTE
Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik believes that signing for AC Milan would be a "professional development", but his current club appear reluctant to sell to Massimiliano Allegri's side.

Speculation has strongly suggested Hamsik could join Milan this summer, although it remains to be seen if the Serie A champions will meet Napoli's asking price of around €100 million (£90 million).

Slovakia international Hamsik has reiterated his desire to sign for the Rossoneri, but it appears Napoli would prefer to sell the 23-year-old to Milan's fierce city rivals Inter.

"It would be a professional development, so I cannot promise Napoli anything," he said in La Gazetta dello Sport. "They are one of the most successful clubs in the world."

However, Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis told the Corriere dello Sport: "He costs €100 million. Besides, if I really do have to sell Hamsik, I'd give him to Inter.

"(Milan vice-president) Adriano Galliani never asked me for him, whereas (Inter president) Massimo Moratti did and was very polite about it.

"He asked me three years ago for Hamsik, then two months ago enquired if anything had changed. I replied no, but I was impressed by his attitude.

"I promised to Moratti that if things do change, then Inter will have a sort of moral option on Hamsik."

Is this guy THAT good?

And I apologise for being lazy, but can someone kindly sum up the noteworthy transfer links and stories surrounding the club.

No, he's like 10-15m good. Maybe 20 to a Man City/Madrid.

Surely, that's exaggerated. Point is, I don't see us signing a proper backup then, at least not for free or at a low price. So I'd stick with him as backup player, unless PSG are willing to negotiate over Sakho (which is unlike).

X point is him not being a proper backup in which I fully agree. Taiwo, Vilà and Zambrotta are all obvious better than him. Unfortunality Vilà is loaned out. But I even prefer Bonera and De Vito over Antonini. So even if we don't sign a backup... for a defender Antonini knows way too little about defending, and he will be always our bottleneck when played.

That's just absurd. I'm not a fan of Antonini, gee, I don't even like the guy, but how can you say Vilà and De Vito are better? On what basis?

Vilà on his debut for Milan looked so much better than most of Antonini's game, followed by playing a very good u21 tournament. And the reason you find my words absurd is because you rate Antonini, and I don't at all. I really find Antonini one of the worst full-backs I've seen play for a high rated team like Milan. Milan having such a defensive liability as left-back hurts me.

Then you haven't been watching football for a long time I guess. You're exaggerating, Antonini is a fair player, just totally average. On the other hand Vilà and De Vito are still young players who's potential can't be judged by one or two matches.

Ricardo Olieveira looked pretty good striker in the first appearance for Milan, some people were even comparing him to Sheva, but in the end of his season, he was our worst striker.
My point is that you can't judge/rate a player based on one game, and saying that Didac is better than Antonini, just becouse he was better in one game, it's unmature statement. In the other hand, Antonini was a decend full-back, under Leonardo, but failed under Allegri.

EDIT:

lolz

don't you get it? I will play any young potential player over Antonini based on the fact I find Antonini TERRIBLE, and I have watched enough football, too much Antonini I've seen if anything

and your posts are really rude often when you disagree with me, I might ignore you in future

---
Oliveira? I hated that transfer FROM THE START. That other people are so easy to compare players to star players has nothing to do with me. Bad example...

Ah yes, he failed under Allegri.. failed... so he SUCKED!

And I saw more than just one game from Vilà... the game for Milan, he played like I would never expect from Antonini to play that good in present/future.. and for Spain u21, impressive.. nice crossing, nice assist.. Antonini sucks compared to him A LOT.. and Didac is very young, unlike Antonini, so Vilà will only get better, Antonini not

My friend, we clearly have two different opinions on rating players and maybe even about football as a sport activity. Hopefully, this is a democratic society, so, get used to it, and when I say it, I mean, someone actually disagreeing with you and having different opinion.

lolz, I am used to disagreements.. I always think for myself, and often differently then most.. (Pirlo.. Ambrosini.. Gattuso.. Robinho..), it's just that specific unnecessary lines in replies are not appreciated by me. ''Then you haven't been watching football for a long time I guess.'' = is not a gentle way to start a reply with.

Well, that's my style. What should I do? Look at your comment:

And I'll add:

Taribo West, Kakha Kaladze, Cosmin Contra, Thomas Helveg's last days, Francesco Coco, Giuseppe Cardone, etc. All of them played at Antoninis level or even below. That's why I said it seems you haven't been watching Milan for a long time.

Kaladze was good as left-back, he was only bad at the end when he only played as central defender. He never was a bad left-back for Milan like Antonini is. But we clearly rate Antonini different, so this is pointless.

I'll give you that. I rate Kaladze's first two seasons with Milan, when he was played as LM/LB. But afterwards, he was just terrible, on every occasion. But what do you say about the others?
