So, according to mediaset Sporting is interested in Onyewu. Not much news elsewhere.

Criscito seems to be official for Zenith. Why? Isn't it a big waste?

A waste how? Zenit are a good team, in a good league. Decent side in Europe. Good enough for Criscito, but not too good where he likely will get benched which would have been a waste for him at his age.

Good and decent. Criscito was marked a the next best Italian fullback. I don't think Russia is a good direction for such a prospect. Napoli would have certainly be better IMO.

QUOTE
Marek Hamsik has failed to rule out a Napoli exit this summer. “I would say that it's time to win something now.”

Hamsik has been strongly paired with a move to Milan ahead of 2011-12 and the player has not exactly ruled out such a possibility.

"It's difficult to predict when is the right time to leave,” he told newspaper Pravda. “I have grown a lot with Napoli in these past few years.

"I'm young, but I still haven't won anything. Not a League championship, not a cup competition. I would say that it's time to win something now.

“It’s true that President Aurelio De Laurentiis doesn’t want to sell me, but nothing is for certain. I speak to him regularly – he’s fun and generous. I can talk to him about anything.

"[Milan boss] Massimiliano Allegri and [Vice-President] Adriano Galliani have praised me and joining Milan would be the turning point of my career.”

Hamsik also has admirers outside of Italy, but he insists that he wants to continue his career in Serie A.

I don’t want to leave Italy,” he added. “I’ve been here for seven years, I’ve learnt the language and made my name here.

“I’m happy on the peninsula and I feel that I am suited to Italian life.”

Hamsik, an attacking midfielder, joined Brescia in 2004 before his switch to Napoli in 2007.

The almost 24-year-old is a Slovakian international.

It will be most likely that we will get Hamsik, then get Ganso in january which would be really good.

Seems like it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

It would have been really nice for once to have a new signing for pre-season training, especially a signing as important and integral as this one. But noooooo, Sinior Fester likes the drama and suspense too much...

Well, I don't think it's a masochistic thing. He did sign Taiwo and Mexes early in the game, didn't he? It's simply a negotiating period which gives our "diplomacy" space and time to explore options and angles. That's all. If it was only up to Galliani, I think he'd sign them (our transfer wishes) instantly.

What annoys me about our current signing campaign is that there are so many names w're being linked with, but none is even close to being certain. You read one article which says Ganso is practically ours, then the next one says we'll put all our efforts into signing Fabregas, whilst another gives Hamsik as our main priority. Not to mention the various Lamela, Witsel, Asamoah, Bale, Kaka' etc. This whole Mr. X thriller spawned a sea of bullsh*t.

I'd be extremely happy with Hasmik and Ganso, even if the latter comes in January.

I personally think we'd need both from the start of the season. We need to have these players integrated within the team as fast as possible. And yes Filippo, Mexes and Taiwo have been signed immediately but imo, a midfielder has a far more integral role in the team and having them familiar with how things work is a lot more important then a LB or backup CB

Hamsik came out on a Slovakian paper saying he'd like to play for us, which infuriated Napoli's fans and their president De Laurentis said they'll sell him only if we pay them €30 million in cash.

Link

He isn't even worth it that much IMO.

well if the starting point is 30 million then I am sure with gallaini we can reduce it but i dont see him coming for anything less than 20 which imo is ok.. I do rate him personally and he has serie A experience good time to get him

Well,it was reported that Napoli wanted 40million for him at first, and that we were willing to pay only 20million.
I think we'll end up buying him for 25million,if we do which sounds decent.

I don't think so. De Laurentis said he'll never sell Hamsik unless we make him an insane offer. I don't know exactly how much he demands. Mediaset suggests €30 million, but it could be more. Either way, won't even consider an offer around the 20s of millions.

if the player wants to leave and wants to join us then we wont need an insane offer imo.. but then i think we will need a very good offer 25 million imo is pretty good considering that barca bids 3035 for cesc
