QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jan 29 2011, 10:55 PM) Mediaset says Ambro suffered a sprain, he should be out for quite some time. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Flamini should get back against Lazio, so we could play Flamini - T. Silva - Emanuelson in midfield. If Flamini is back then it's still a good midfield to put out, Thiago is a monster there. If we had 2 other World Class defenders I'd want Thiago there at all times. Sokratis and Yepes imo should be good for the Lazio game. The Ambo news is another blow, it's like some force is trying to do all it can to trip us up for this Scudetto but we sill manage to hurdle it. I've got to say props to Allegri and the players who have really gritted their teeth to keep fighting on. QUOTE (CHU-LIP @ Jan 29 2011, 10:58 PM) Obviously he was not good today, but other games he was good. I hate these one game judgements. He's been good in games were it was easier, Catania did a number on him, and any team that is marginally smart enough will know that putting pressure on him is the key for us. I'm not condemning him, but he's just not ready for high pressure games, especially ones where we're away from home and are playing against a team that play a rough game

Anyway,Merkel's best position is a trequistra.I know he has been playing as a side midfielder most of the times, but there is where he shines the most, specially the Sampdoria game.We know he's weak defensively, and he's still young so he doesn't have much composure. So we either should play him in his best position when possible or field him as a side midfielder against weak sides.
Also,Bonera played pretty good today,I was surprised.

To be honest, the he was good in 1 Coppa game, maybe 2. I mean you can't say it's a one game judgement, the kid played 4 matches in total in his life for us! Rediculous argument!

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jan 29 2011, 11:10 PM) I can't see Allegri playing Sokratis. It will be Bonera-Yepes with Oddo/Abate on the right. Hopefully we'll see Didac from the start as well. Why not? Bonera really scares the sh!t out of me playing in the center! Sokratis has really stepped up when he played recently.

QUOTE (I_Rossoneri @ Jan 29 2011, 11:11 PM) I'm starting to think I'd rather see Thiago in mid than Ambro! Thiago is a very good CB but I think he's even better in midfield. But we really don't have the luxery of playing him in that midfield, it's not like we have top CBs coming out of our @sses. Yepes is doing a good job, but I can't really imagine him playing against top teams, especially with someone like Bonera partnering him... Plus I wouldn't say Thiago is a better midfielder then he is a defender...
