Well, starting next game we'll constantly be playing Gattuso--Pirlo--Ambrosini in midfield so you can put your heart in peace. I just don't see your point that our midfield in these last three games hasn't been adequate. We completely dominated Bari in a game that should have ended 6-2, we finally managed to beat a tough side as Palermo after being beaten three times from them in the last two seasons, and we managed to stop Inter's running strike on us without giving them a single scoring opportunity. You can't achieve three matches of such intensity if the midfield isn't working properly like you claim. Our game overall has improved substantially, we can score more easily and this has to be recognized.

Against palermo the midfield was the ideal one and I was completely happy with how we dominated the play through midfield. Imo that's the midfield that should be playing.

Also my main problem is with Rino. He's just not good enough, even worse, he nearly gets himself sent off again before the half time whistle blew yesterday, after last season's debacle. So dropping Flamini in order to play Rino who seems to be a personal favourite of Allegri's is inexcusable.

I'm not saying the system is not working as a whole. But you need to look at how we're playing as a whole. And I'm talking against Bari and Inter, where the midfield struggled to really control the tempo and possession. In order to do this you need at least one player who is calm on the ball, can make a good decisive pass when we need to get out of a tight spot, etc. Non of our DMs can do that aside from Flamini who is better on the ball but it's still not enough. List to me any other top teams that play a 3 DM system...

Our overall game has improved by miled from the beginning of the season, I'm not denying that, and I'm more then happy with how we'ce improved over the last 3 weeks. But I feel like the derby win is really clouding what is before us. I've seen the game again, and when the euforia of it is gone you can clearly make rational judgement.

First 30 minutes: We looked great, Inter couldn't touch us, but how much of it should be attributed to Inter playing like cr@p? Imo at least 50% of it was purely because of that reason. Once Coutinho came on and Inter got into their usual setup we couldn't hold possession any longer, Gattuso started to make a nuisance out of himself, imo was at fault for getting Abate booked because he was leaving him to deal with Eto'o all on his own and got yellowed for one stupid foul and nearly got sent off a few minutes after.

Created chances: Ibra's one man show due to winning every arial challenge against Matrix, what did we really create? Let's not forget, we scored through a penalty (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I'm 100% sure that had Pirlo started instead of rino, we would have smacked Inter as bad as they smacked us last season in those first few minutes. They just never showed up and Pirlo dictating play through the center would have killed them off. Instead you had Rino, Ambro and Flamini passing sideways, then back to Thiago and Nesta, who unleashed that long ball to Ibra. Which yes always caught Inter out but you can't really expect it to always work

After Coutinho cam one, we struggled big time, before we lost Abate, we weren't in the game again, Seedorf worked his @ss off trying to get something going, while for example against Palermo he looked great, and barely had to run at all, simply because the midfield behind him supported him, won him the balls, and was always available for that onetwo to create space.

Milan with balance. What's that, a slogan?

It should be (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Imo the Palermo game was a perfect advert for this new campaign (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

It looks to me Han that your main problem is with Allegri playing Gattuso. Everything else comes as a result of it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Well he is the extra DM, he adds nothing to our game. Ambro and Flamini have to play. Rino was a huge problem for us yesterday. I know Chu is going to tell me oh Rino has been great, etc, etc but he hasn't he was a problem for us yesterday, against Real and every other time we played a half decent team.

The problem with 3 destroyers in midfield is still there. I want at least 1 player who is good on the ball, whether that is Boeteng or Pirlo to me depends on who we play.

Also it's not like I have a personaly agenda against Rino, I'm a huge fan, but I'm a Milan fan first and I want what is best for my team, and Rino playing is not a good decision.

Yesterday he wasn't great, and subbing him off half time was the right decision, considering he had yellow.

Milan's last "away" victory in the derby was followed by five consecutive defeats... (2005) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I wouldn't call any of his other games great either this season, some were good, others he tries like mad but it's for nothing.

Anyways. I'm hoping for a Pirlo, Flamini, Ambro midfield against Fiorentina. Let's see what that can do. I can see us really dominate with that one.

Mostly now, my only worry is Ibra, our only pure striker left, who will most likely play again mid-week for Sweden, then on Saturday, the in the CL on Tuesday and again the following weekend. Allegri needs to rotate him, or he's going to end up injured. Problem is we have no other striker available aside from robs and playing the xmas tree with Dinho and Seedorf supporting Robinho would never work. So do we try a Primavera? Beretta and Zigoni gave been very disappointing when they've played in the summer... We could try the Roma tactic with no pure striker...

He wasn't great?!He was terrible,he referee was really generous. He should have gotten a red card easily.
In his other games,he wasn't that good either.
To play the correct system,we have to pick between him and Ambro. And I'm pretty sure everyone prefers Ambrosini.
Gattuso shouldn't be even our 2nd Dm option.Strasser showed that he can be better than him,and giving experience to a youngster who is good should be encouraged.

So I said he wasn't great because han used the word 'great'...

All I said he wasn't great, I didn't say he was good either... in other matches he has been good though.
