Zed:How can Bonera deserve a 3.

Apart for his mistake, he did reasonably well I thought.

I'm devastated. This was one of the most horrible, awful, unwatchable games since I've become a fan. There isn't any doubt anymore, Allegri is a rookie. A clueless, incompetent rookie. His inability to read the game is incredible. How, oh how on earth can you play Pirlo-Gattuso-Seedorf-Dinho, four over 30s, against a fast team like Real Madrid? Did he even watch any of their games? It's absolutely baffling. Boateng-Pirlo-Flamini - this is how we should play from now on. Always.

Regarding the performance of our players, there isn't much to say. I saw Amelia, Zambrotta, Nesta, Pirlo and Robinho try really hard, they have my respect. The rest? Again, unwatchable. Seedorf and Dinho deserve to be castigated, they put shame on our colors. Ibra and Pato just weren't supported at all upfront, even though they could have done a little better.

This was a shameful game, and I hope we (i.e. Allegri) learn something from it.

He saved our a$$ in a couple of occasions. He looked very assured between the posts. I dare say he's good enough to replace Abbiati.

Ratings:

Amelia (6) - a sad debut, but Milan now knows that other then Abbiati there is also a very good goalie in the team.

Zambrotta (6) - solid match with a few good runs. Lacking pace, but still is reliable.

Nesta (6) - made a brilliant interception and tackle typicall for Sandro. Other then that, made also some stupid passing errors.

Bonera (5) - looked like a 40 year old veteran striker re-located as a defender. I hope this was his final.

Antonini
(6) - solid performance by Luca, both down and up the flank. Made only slight positioning errors.

Gattuso (6) - did as much as he could, but this was not the match we needed Rino.

Pirlo (6) - one of the better Milan midfielders, but with constant passing errors. Unlucky with the free-kick.

Seedorf (4.5) - slow and passive, missed one of the few good chances, created nothing. Very bad match.

Ronaldinho
(5) - apart from a few good passes, he did nothing. One of the weakest links.

Pato (4.5) - his runs were totally erratic and useless, and unfortunately costed us the stupid free kick. Totally shut down by both Real and our passive midfield.

Ibrahimovic (5) - did nothing, absolutely zero.

Boateng (5.5) - apart from being fit and able too run more then any other of our midfielders, did nothing good.
Robinho (6) - made some refreshment and looked more motivated then any of our other players.
Inzaghi(.) - didn't do anything/came in too late.

Allegri(4) - stubborn and unadaptable, tactically predictable and with little understanding of game development and reactioning.

Hey, Abbiat was pretty good all season long. Why would we replace him based on one match...
Amelia did well, but Abbiati still should be No. 1.

My bad, I forgot to add 'he's good enough to replace Abbiati if he's out injured'.

Simone:I agree his passing skills aren't top notch but he's just the player we need PERIOD.
He doesn't usually misplace passes that much. You just write off a player after seeing him do 3-4 bad passes, that's really judgmental of you.

Gee, I didn't write him off, but I just fail to see from where does giant amounts of faith come?
Under these circumstances and Allegri as well, any normal midfielder who has strenght, is under 30 and has still some pace would do good or better then our midfield.

But honestly, what did Boateng do other then that?

Because when players come in and do well, they need to be encouraged. This happens when good performances are rewarded with another game and then another if performances continue. The flip side of this is that bad performances should be rewarded with a spot on the bench, or in some of our squad's case a very cold seat high up in the san siro. Players should never be picked on reputation, which seems to happen far to much in our case (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

So, bottomline, Allegri is the main culprit of this loss?

Our team has a lot of flaws and they are so clearly seen that anybody can notice them.

A couple of years ago we had no game going on through our flanks. We only created game through the middle with Kaka.

Today we are playing the other way around!!!

Our "fantastic trident" will become useless against big teams. If a team controls our flanking... then what can we do against that? Play thorugh the middle with our lively Seedorf and our excellent shooter called Gattuso?

Just like the Libero disappeared, Gattusos' around the world will start dissapearing. The thing now is that you need players willing o sacrifice themselves. Defensive midfielders that are able to provide a through ball or perform a decent cross.

K.P. Boateng should become a starter so that he gets in game rythm and Gattuso should go to the bench to cheer for the team and coach. He should start next to Pirlo.

The other midfielder should not be Seedorf... forget about Seedorf. He says he wants to play for a lot more years.... well ok but please do it some place else.

The third midfielder should be somebody capable of playing behind the striker so we learn to attack in a diamond formation. Robinho is the only one capable of doing that right now. Although we should find the right guy for the job. Somebody with good shooting ability and speed.

Gattuso and Seedorf and handicapping our team. Flamini, Ambroini.... same story.

We play like if we are a defense specialist team... jajaja Real Madrid defended like pros today and we were'nt able to take the ball from them unless the lost it.
