McLaren's really doing that badly? He should be given time, in my opinion, he's proven himself as an oustanding manager at club level. If he is doing so badly, I imagine it's only temporary.

Watching the Dortmund-Stuttgart replay.
Dortmund running away with the title and their oldest outfield player is 25. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) No doubt they'll get sold off though when Bayern attempt to buy the competition up again. |

Wolfsburg have sacked McClaren. Shame it didn't work out for him there. Despite his England spell, I think he's a very good club manager and I think whicever club he ends up with have done well to appoint him. West Brom maybe? I hope not.

Hmh, indeed. But the truth is, this has been one heck of a mad season in Germany. Mönchengladbach, Wolfsburg, Werder and Stuttgart all struggle to remain in the league, while Schalke albeit all transfer efforts stays middle-table at best. Bayern, CL finalist, also stuggling due to injuries, defensive problems and coach-management issues...makes it all crazy this year. So, McClaren is just a collateral victim.

I like him to be honest. Won Boro there first ever trophy, took them to Europe for the first ever time and even managed to reach a UEFA Cup Final. What he did in Holland was nothing short of amazing either.
I think it suits him better when he's not in the spotlight, when he's at a club not expected to do great things. WBA will suit him to the ground. |

So, Bayern manage to win impressively at least, just like Bayer. Dortmund loosing 2 points against Lautern, while Gladbach and Stuttgart seem to be on relegation course.
Oh and yes, new Wolfsburg manager Pierre Littbarski starts with a defeat. |

Seems like Bayern are about to sack Louis van Gaal. Would be a very big mistake. I hope Hoeness will reconsider and trust Rummenigge more often.

Only seen about 6/7 of their league games, but looking at the table it looks like they're having a terrible season. 20 point off 1st place, failed to win more games than they've won and holding a Europa League qualifying place!?
Relegation looks very interesting. Monchengladbach, Kaiserslauten, Stuttgart, Wolfsburg and Werder Bremen are the bottom 5. I wouldn't particularly like to see any of those go down, hopefully it ends up being St. Pauli and Frankfurt. Hope Hertha and Bochum come up. |
