I fail to see why player's nationality is that big of a concern rather than their ability? (...not only now, but in general)
Seems rather prejudice to say that because of someone's nationality you will get (or can expect) a particular outcome. Milan usually goes for Brazilians, because at the times of us acquiring them they are still relatively good, and are cheaper alternatives to others who might be available (or to what they might have been valued at a point in time). |

That's true. But if the negative charasteristics show, the positive ones won't show up, or at least suffer. Some years ago I'd have said NO to Ibra, but we aren't in that position anymore, so I'm willing to accept the risk that his ego poses. Same goes to Robinho. Let's just hope we can all work together. This sudden change of mentality from Berlusconi is weird.
I think he knows something we don´t and this unexpected shopping spree confirms it. As a matter of fact, I believe there will be more signings in January. The team will change even more and I´m sure Galliani is already working on it. Something will change in the football world and our directives know about it. Still... this is good for us... change is goooooooood!!! |
