I Beleive Barca would be really happy with this transfer as they have bought Javier Mascherano who is in my opinion the best Dm in the world for about the same price as they are selling Ibra and I think they will be saving 6mil in wages between these two players.So don't worry about our relationship with them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

UPDATE 10:20 CET - Spanish daily AS Sky and Sport Italia are both reporting that Zlatan Ibrahimovic's agent Mino Raiola, Milan CEO Adriano Galliani and Barcelona president Sandro Rosell will meet at the Camp Nou offices at 16:30 CET today (Saturday) to sign the agreement to finalise the Swede's move to the Rossoneri.

It is also believed that Ibra will follow Galliani back to Milan if the signing goes to plan.

Milan's move for Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will cost an stupefying €102 million between transfer fee and wages, claims La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Barcelona have accepted a reported €30 million transfer fee with Milan's wage bill rising to €72 million before tax over the striker's four-year agreement, totalling €102m. 'Ibra' is now expected to sign his contract, which may even happen late on Saturday depending on how negotiations develop.

Previous reports suggested talks had stretched late into Friday night and all that was needed was a signature from the striker after he agreed personal terms with Milan CEO Adriano Galliani in the company of agent Mino Raiola.

Ibrahimovic's arrival though is having an even greater knock-on effect as La Repubblica claims Robinho will follow him to Milan. That is only likely to happen in January, though, after the Rossoneri made an approach for the player.

Reports on Thursday claimed the Manchester City-owned Brazilian had agreed to join Massimiliano Allegri's side.

That poses new questions on Ronaldinho whose contract expires in 2011 and has yet to renew despite promises a new deal was in view.

He could move to the Los Angeles Galaxy to make room for Robinho who will take his place in the squad. Silvio Berlusconi, however, could oppose a 'Dinho exit after declaring last month that the playmaker was at "Milan for life".

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is expected to leave the club with both Tottenham and Schalke 04 in negotiations with the striker.

Just to clarify this idiotic news clip from goal.com;

In order for players to get paid they're designated wage (i.e Pirlo 5m/year) We pay them their gross salary and then tax hits it and they get their net salary.

Pirlo is supposed to earn 5m season. We pay him 10m which gets taxed at 48% and he gets his income.


Over 4 years we will pay Ibra; 18m a season, which gets taxed and he gets his wage of 9m.


The 102 million is blown way out of proportion to make our management look like idiots when players like Ronaldinho recieve 16m; kaladze 8m; inzaghi 8m; nesta 10m; all per season.


Kaka was earning 18m as well.



We shouldn't act surprised, its in no way a big deal. All clubs function like this except spain, which they will also be starting to in January where their tax will increase from 24 to 48%.

I wouldn't mind Robinho coming in January. He will get the chance to blend into our squad and will take Ronaldinho's starting spot next year. Milan is a good environment for Brazilian players and he might finally find a team to settle in.

That would be sick; I hope we sign him on loan now and then he'll transfer at the end of the season on a free. God knows we need the depth.



Only problem is that Robinho earns 8-9m a season aswell. I don't know if we can afford to pay them all.
