QUOTE (d'Arc.LP @ Jul 29 2010, 02:31 PM) Yepes camed as free transfer and it's perfect backup for Silva/Nesta. Silva was replacment for Maldini, Papastathopulos is backup for Nesta and probably will play as right back. Yepes and Onyewu camed becouse Bonera/Kaladze wasn't working and were not reliable. In our new formation Seedorf will be backup for Ronaldinho. Seedorf is still in good shape. He can play as backup or sometimes starter for 1/2 seasons and than retires in some team in Holand. Pirlo is still good and we already bought Fossati as his replacmet when he'll retire or can't do good anymore. Verdi is good winger and is possible replacmet of Ronaldinho. Also Utuamandi is showing great quality. When we sell Pato we'll buy another Brazilian probably Neymar or someone like him... Like I said Papastathopulos has potential to be as good as Nesta is/was last years. We have Strasser too , he'll replace Ambrosini or Gattuso soon. Paloschi will arrive in the same moment Inzaghi goes. If not this year, next year Dzeko is ours. We have great team. Silva is the only decent replacement that we made. I give you that but the others are all ifs and maybes What assurance do you have that Fossati, Verdi, etc will become good enough players to be our first teamers? Nothing really, it's all assumptions. Seedorf is certainly not able to play as an AM, we tried that last season, it failed miserably. He just doesn't have the stamina anymore, plus he's not an AM, never was, and to play him there now at his age would be a major mistake. I'm not saying Pirlo is done for now but in a couple of years we really need to start thinking about someone to replace him, again it's an assumption that Fossati is the new Pirlo, for all we know the guy can be rubbish and it's just media BS. You can never predict these things, Maybe he is as good as he's made out to be and we'll strike gold, but how often does that really happen? Imo, if he's as good as he's said to be then why did Inter sell him to us? Sokratis as good as Nesta?? He's good but I would never go that far. He'll probably never reach Nesta level and I don't know if he has it in him to be a top class CB. It's another question mark situation. Strasser another name we've heard a lot about but has never actually been given a decent chance in the team. Anyway, the DM position is the least of our problems as Flamini is still young. But all the other positions are filled by older players that will need to be replaced in max 2 years time (Pirlo aside as he's a bit younger then the rest of the older players we have) You're basing you entire theory around the possibility that our primavera guys turn out good, when imo, only very few of those guys will actually be good enough to play for the team

Thats what I call beauty! if they offerd Ramos and VDV and we had Honda, second place? I aiming for first !! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) QUOTE Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has revealed that the Italian giants could find it tough to sign players during the summer transfer period, pouring cold waters on reports suggesting that Keisuke Honda could be recruited from CSKA Moscow.
There were recent reports linking the Japanese international to the Serie A outfit as the Rossoneri were reportedly keen to add a fresh pair of legs to an ageing side that hasn't won the Scudetto since 2004. However, the club's vice-president has admitted that splashing the cash between now and the end of August is not going to be easy.
“Will we work on the market to bring in reinforcements? I doubt it, but we’ll see,” Galliani said, according to Calciomercatonews.com.
“It’s a problem, as it will be difficult to get Honda when he doesn’t have an EU passport. You’d have to ask the FIGC about that.
“None of the big stars will be leaving. As Inter president Massimo Moratti said, if you have to make sacrifices then you have to do it with the players who are requested, not the ones who aren’t sought-after.
“Well, the ones who have been requested will not be sold and the others are not sought-after.”
Galliani also revealed that Gennaro Gattuso will stay with Milan for one more season at least and added, “I’d like to thank both Gianluca Zambrotta and Massimo Oddo, who will earn in two years only a little more than they had been earning in 12 months.
"We believe many players could stay with us in 2011-12 too." goal.com wow..

All the players we talked about have potential to be good if they'll not get injured and if they'll have their chance to prove. btw I don't find VDV's wife very attractive (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

QUOTE (d'Arc.LP @ Jul 29 2010, 03:17 PM) But we still can sign a non EU player. That shouldn't be a problem, unless Galliani is saving that spot for Dzeko (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Yeah right He's only bringing up the regulation to make another petty excuse. He thinks people are stupid

QUOTE (Dracoris @ Jul 29 2010, 04:38 PM) From what I've been reading all day it seems our options are VDV for 8-10 and Ben Arfa for 8. I'll take either, Id prefer VDV. Same. We need an attacking mid not another striker
