You may not have heard about Ozil before the world cup, Jimbo, but how many Bundesliga games did you watch? I watch more Bundesliga games than La Liga games and trust me, they're a good league with good players of a high technical level -- their performance in Europe is a sign of that. The players you listed in your post above aren't even generally considered - Grafite and Dzeko aside - the best players on their team. Barzagli doesn't even start at Wolfsburg (or didn't for a lot of this year), for example. Podolski and Klose are good performers for the national team but are notorious underperformers for their clubs. Klose wasn't a regular starter for Bayern this year. I suggest that your arguments may be flawed because you're looking at the wrong players.

Because they (The Teams) knows that.

I am not saying I don't rate Ozil and Dzeko, but the way you make them sound is like their success abroad is 100% sure. We didn't really hear about Ozil before the WorldCup, so to me this is all hype, and I don't beleive in it.
Now Diego was ONE example, and yes I think a good chunk of them are overrated compare to other players in other league. I am not talking about german players only, but all of them.
I didn't say major teams are not looking for players in Germany, I said they are not "really" looking for players in Germany. We must admit that the German league is not that impressive, like at all, the few talents that are there are are limited. I like Dzeko, I really do. I watch few of his games and some youtube clips, he looked very impressive, but can you say the same for other striker in the bundesliga? All that I am saying is that this league's resources are very poor compare to the other ones.

Of course Özil gets hyped because of the World Cup. But Özil is no stranger to me, I know him for some years now. He has been awesome at Bremen a very long time now. Of course you can make anyone good in youtube clips, but Dzeko has been awesome as well, and obviously you can't miss that watching Wolfsburg games on a regular bases.

Just like Fishdoll said, you aren't watching a lot of 1. Bundesliga, aren't you? I agree with everything Fishdoll just said.

Well maybe you're right. Maybe I see things differently because I am not a big fan of the German League, but I will take the Fish's word for it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

You are not a fan of the German League? I did not expect that! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

Maybe you should not try to make such statements about a league you barely watch. Your knowledge about 1. Bundesliga is close to zero.

Every time I read "1. Bundesliga" I expect you to make some sort of second point, which never seems to come =P.

I do agree with you Chu, the bundesliga is a very strong league, both technically and physically. It's highly competitive (many strong teams, rather than just two-three), and overall I would consider a player that's proven in Germany to be of very good quality.

However, what we often forget about is that it takes a while for a player of any other league in the world to adjust to Serie A markers.

I would say there is never a garantuee one will do also good in a different league, or even at a different club in the same league. Look at players who went from Premier League to La Liga, etc, etc. All players are different anyway.

But it's true. If you shine in 1. Bundeslage then you are of good quality. But quality players can shine in one team, and fail in an other team. And it's true, one player have more difficulties adjusting than the other one.

Every transfer is some kind of gamble/risk or so. It's just you need to find what seems to be the best bet...

I personally find the huge tactical setup of Serie A makes it next to impossible for individual players to shine on their own. They need the whole team to work for them.

It's true even for Italians. You can compare the DDR/Totti of Roma and the same players for the Azzuri. Playing in Serie A requires you have a lot of tactical vision, flexibility as a team player, patience and skill.

It's also one of the reasons why I feel Milan buy overaged players. Because the first 3 usually come with experience, and most of the 'oldies' we have purchased have that. (eg. Favster, Yepes).

It's also why I think Diego flopped. He has plenty of skill, but like most Brazilians he's a bit suspect on the other three.

I think it's a matter of individuality. If you were to take the four factors I've mentioned above, it almost becomes easy to predict who's gonna be a hit and who's not.

Becks is a success. Diego is not. Messi if he comes will be a success. But CR will not. All IMO. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

R80 blows hot and cold for the same reason. On some days all four factors are on a roll for him. On other days he doesn't seem to play to tactics, or have the patience etc.

According to Carlo Pellegatti, Barcelona are bombing Milan with phone calls saying "take Ibra, take Ibra".

Cellino says Milan have been of word and haven't made any offer for Lazzarri. In another interview, he said Cagliari won't sell him even if offered 100m.

this is unbeliveble !
Why should Milan take the left overs ?
Juve to crapteam , crapteam to Barcelona and then Barcelona to Milan. Come on even Gallini should say no to that. What happend to Piemer Leuage, Ibra?

Ibra scored against spaniards as well..did he do good?

Did he do bad?

I wouldn't mind Honda, he would expand this team financially if nothing else. The language barrier would be an issue.

Fenerbache is not the only one interested in Huntelaar.

link

Milan are interested in Hónda now that they have a free non-EU place in their squad after Nelson Dida’s exit.
