Why is Hleb mediocre anyway? He was pretty good at Arsenal, and that was only 2 years ago.

Pretty good isn't good enough. Have we sinked that low that pretty good is good enough for us?

Well, considering Ronaldinho is crap, pretty good beats crap so it's at least a step forward.

We need a proper treqaurista. We need it now, and we SURELY need it when going 4-3-1-2...

Ganso, Özil, Van der Vaart, Diego, Kroos, Honda (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ........... all are very good and/or very talented and already good.....

But Hleb?

Good thing thats an opinion and not a fact. Dinho led the Serie A in assists, thats not crap. I would agree that he's not a proper trequartista though, assuming that is what Allegri wants to play with. Ronnie could still very much be used in a 4-3-1-2 as a support striker for Pato and hopefully a new signing behind them pulling the strings.

If that 23m offer for Hunter is real, we could do some business for a really strong trequartista.

I agree on that, spending 10 on Fabiano and having him in 2 years , no thanks rather Özil or Dzeko or somebody we can have use of.

You forgot to mention Pastore, how could you??? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

I agree with you, all those names would be better than Hleb, but we haven't been linked with any of them (except Ganso who seems close to Lyon though), so I'm talking on behalf of those players our management is interested in. So far we've been linked only with Lazzarri and Hleb, and frankly, I'd rather take Hleb than keep Ronaldinho.

That's your own oppinion, please stop making it a fact. You just don't like the guy. That does not make him cr@p! Dinho was one of our best players last season and replacing him with anyone who would fit in our budget would be taking steps backwards as no one for the price of 10m or less is anywhere near Dinho's level.

And wanting to have a good time in your off duty hours does not make you a sloth, if that were the case then everyone is a sloth since no one lives for their job and nothing else.

The only thing left in Ronaldinho's baggage from his former self is his vision and passing abilities, which even I have to admit are quite genius sometimes. But to limit yourself (and your team) to just that is quite low. When I said that we'll never move forward until we get rid of him, I meant what I said. The whole team revolves around Ronaldinho, and to depend your game and hopes on a player who has a very narrow set of abilities to offer is quite pathetic. It's not like we're dependent of Robben or Ronaldo or Rooney, but of a 30 year-old slacker who is this close to becoming an ex-footballer.

Oh, and this is only my opinion, although you might take it as fact if you like. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif)

I would say our team relies fairly heavily on Pato and Nesta as well. Ronaldinho was a big part last year, but we don't rely solely on him. As evidenced by our drop in form when both Nesta and Pato were out.

True dat, but it's our performance that suffers from their absence rather than the kind of game we play i.e. pass ball to Ronaldinho and hope he delivers an assist. And that's mostly because we don't have proper substitutes for either one of them.

We don't rely as much on Dinho as we do on Pirlo for example. Even though you like to think that Ronnie's only abalities are vision and passing, he does more then that and he's shown us this season more then once, aside from Pato he's our only other good dribbler, can shoot from long range and can literally create something out of nothing when the entire team is slagging off. And you want to replace him with a second rate mid like Hleb who has barely seen the pitch since moving to Barca? You can talk about Pastore all you want but Palermo would never sell to us and we'd never show the cash that would change their minds.

Yes that was an oppinion and I respect it, but before you said and I quote

That is not giving an oppinion on something, that is stating a fact and trying to impose it on others. This is a forum, we discuss not beat our oppinions on others (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

This fish thinks that XOff has a point -- last year the team really did rely much more on Ronaldinho doing something than Pirlo. And I agree that it's a somewhat dangerous thing to bank on.

Do I think Ronaldinho is crap? No, not really. I think he's a fine player (though nowhere near his Barca level).

I'd LOVE for Milan to bring in a top level trequartista.
