Ronaldinho, Borriello, Pato
Ambrosini, Pirlo, Flamini Antonini, T.Silva, Nesta, Zambrotta Abbiati Is kinda the best we got. (Even this might not be balanced enough.) Players like Seedorf, Huntelaar and Abate can be subbed in when required. |

And, in transfer news, Tuttomercatoweb reports that a whole lot of clubs are interested in Zigoni (on loan): Chievo, Brescia and Cagliari in Serie A and Padova, Novara, and Atalanta in Serie B. link His father played for Brescia (and for Hellas Verona) and his grandfather played for Atalanta -- not sure if family history will come into it all that much. It could influence some things, perhaps. |

I remember reading some time ago the Argentinian press saying Otamendi is a done deal for us. I really hope the announcement hasn't been made because of the WC. I'd be so disappointed if we didn't sign him.

And our defense isn't awful, though I feel like we are 1 good defender away for a good defense including depth (!) I want a really good central back backup because of Nesta, and at the same time a better right back starter than Zambrotta is... so... kinda liking Otamendi |
