QUOTE (Tennie @ Jun 9 2010, 03:33 PM) *
So, Joe Cole and Michael Ballack are now out of contract. Would we be interested in picking either up on a free?

Well Cole is heading to Madrid. I believe seeing someplace that Mourinho was willing to trade him and Lampard for Kaka. Now that he is free he'll waste no time. Though the thought of Kaka @ Chelsea makes me happy for him, after all Madrid is known to destroy good players. Ballack on the other hand is old enough to play for Milan. If Ballack is available for free who needs Ganso or Hernanes (IMG:style_emoticons/default/devilsmiley.gif)

Ballack would be ideal for our midfield, but he'll be 34 in September. Not sure it'd be a good idea.

LaPalma would be happy about Ballack.

I'm not sure how I feel, really. They're both quite good but, well, the whole age thing. And their salaries aren't likely to be particularly low.

As for the Cole to Real rumors...well, I don't actually recall seeing articles but even so half the players in Europe have been linked with Real over the last couple of weeks. So I'm not going to put much credence in things until we see agents and club presidents talking and/or guys holding up jerseys.

Both are past their best and aren't worth the money they're likely to demand.

No to either of them. I like Joe Cole but the age thing is the deal breaker for me. We can't afford to keep getting quick fix old freebies every summer and make the situation 10 times worse everytime this happens

QUOTE (Dracoris @ Jun 10 2010, 12:26 AM) *
Galliani keeps talking about us needing a new stadium, over and over again. Think something is in the works??

Us as in Milan or Italian football? cause as much as I want to believe we're secretly working on a new stadio, it's most probably Galliani doing his usual BSing.

-

I like Ballack but I don't want him at Milan. besides being too old, he's a jinx!

Cole looks to go to Chelsea as per goal.com.

The new stadium is I always felt something Galliani wants to do, but Silvio is rejecting.

Meanwhile there's a story citing Adriano (the Sevilla FB)...wanting to come to Milan.

He's a LB. Not sure what we'll do with him.

Tuttomercatoweb reports several things this morning:

* Kaladze has refused an offer from Dinamo Kiev. link

* They quote Tuttosport as saying that Milan is intersted in Joe Cole. link

* They quote Corriere as saying that Braida is going to meet today with the lawyers of Francois Clerc, the Lyon fullback. link

* They quote Gazzetta as saying Milan is still after Otamendi and Ramires. link

We need a RB, Antonini is our LB and Zambro can play there as well. While at RB we don't reall have any other optrions besides Zambro or trying to jam Abate into the position he's obviously not very comfortable playing in

I mean would you really give up a job where you earn millions per year for doing absolutely nothing, while also getting front row seats at football matches every Sunday?
If we were a serious club we would have had them out on their @sses a long time ago.

Nah. With Janks, it's a case of him wishing to go back to his home nation. He already said that once. With Kaladze I'm not sure.

1. All our fullbacks are right-footed. True, Antonini and Zambro can play as LBs, but it'd be good if we had a left-footed fullback as well.

2. Footballers are usually paid to play football, not warm the stadium seats. Jankulovski knows he doesn't enter in the plans of Allegri, he knows the club wants to sell him, he knows he has only one year left at Milan. If he's staying just for the money, he's only showing to the whole world what a ridiculous tw@t he is.
