Let's be honest here zeddie, Pato's workrate, in terms of traking back in not that great. I think that would be a fair comparison to Balotelli, I don't agree that his attitude can be compared with Balotelli's bacause Pato has ben nothing but examplary and Balotelli just hasn't been that.
Regarding the milannews bit, I'd take it with a grain of salt. The only way I can see Pato going would be in the Kaka route, ie. for the money.

QUOTE (Zed.D @ Jun 9 2010, 03:02 PM) Did I ever said it was great? I'm saying I have seen him doing defending (and I admitted he's not really good at it) and if anyone doesn't believe, I can show them clips (not sure that would make them change their minds). I'm just saying comparing Pato's workrate to Balotelli's, who sometimes even neglects to run when he has the ball at his feet (let alone track back and defend), is unfair. as is saying that he is "unwilling to" because if the coach asks him to do it, I see no reason why he wouldn't. to say he's unwilling to means he has attitude problems. does he? Like I said he shouldn't be compared to Balotelli as they're totally different, when it comes to attitude. I just think that it's in some players nature to have massive work rate like Rooney or Boriello for example and some who don't do it because it's just not part of their game, it's not being lazy (like Berbatov for example), because we all know Pato runs his @ss off. I think even if the coach specifically asked Pato and Dinho to track back whenever we lost the ball they'll both find it equally hard, especially Dinho, who even while at Barca used to stand in his position until the ball was won back. I remember once I was watching the Barca - Chelsea match (the one were Dinho scored that goal while standing still) he lost the ball in Chelsea's box and he just stood there, didn't even try to make a show of jogging back to make it appear like he was even trying to win back the ball he lost. Imo that's lazy and being unwilling to do it, I don't think Pato is unwilling to do it, it's just not in his nature to do it, he prefers to stand back and receive any lose ball so he can spring on a fast counter attack

So, Joe Cole and Michael Ballack are now out of contract. Would we be interested in picking either up on a free?
