It was in coppa. Mourinho will talk his talk there is no point banning him. He would be banned every match. Besides hes star and italian football would be highly criticized if they started banning him for his antics since in england it was loved.

Italy isn't England, and I think it's fair to say that while the cugini coach may be popular in England, he is...not in Italy. The impression I get is that they (the press and public) don't like the guy (not counting fans of the cugini). If the cugini coach breaks the rules, he should be treated the same way everyone else is.

He's no star in Italy and from whom would they be criticized, Mou fans? They could not care less!

Was that the first or second leg? Or is it just a one-leg game?

First leg, Kurt. Return leg is at the Olimpico di Torino. Both sides fielded slightly weakened teames (no Zarate for Lazio, no Buffon or Del Piero for the Gobbi).

Manninger could probably be #1 in most any other Serie A team with the kind of year he's had.

Naturally. He's a great keeper. Know him from Salzburg-days. Arsenal never should have let him go.

WOW (IMG:style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)

Pazzini-Cassano is turning into one of the best partnerships in recent years.

It reminds me in a very vague way of Batistuta-Rui Costa, who were one of my favorite strike partnerships, for all that they played for Fiorentina.

So I finally watched the Coppa game. Samp were magnificent, especially considering they played a big chunk of the second half on 10 guys. They pwned the cugini, who were themselves rather lucky to end the game with 11 players. There was a late yellow given to Zanetti - it was a studs up tackle from behind that could very, very easily have been a red.
