I did sympathise with him, and I stand by my decision to have done so. He was basically getting punished for the same offense over and over which is stupid really and unfair, even for him. But yeah, if he keeps it up then he should be gone, a lifetime ban from England would be nice.

QUOTE Charlton: “Ronaldo's better than Best”442 Staff - Today, 13:48 (IMG: http://fourfourtwo.com/contentimages/news/Ronaldozoom.jpg) Sir Bobby Charlton has given Cristiano Ronaldo the greatest compliment imaginable: by declaring him better than George Best. In an interview published in the new edition of FourFourTwo magazine, Sir Bobby, a former team-mate of Best and now a director of Manchester United said: “ George had the ability to turn people inside out and beat anyone he liked. He was as good as anyone you will see, he used to embarrass players time and time again.“ It was paradise watching George play football, just like it is with Ronaldo now... the only difference is that Ronaldo is probably stronger and faster.” The Portuguese winger was today named the No.1 player in the world in FourFourTwo’s annual 100 Best Players in the World but despite his incredible achievements in 2008, some critics say that he is too much of an individual, frequently hogging the ball and the limelight while team-mates put in the hard graft. But Sir Bobby says that Best was just the same: “Yes, he could also be frustrating, he held on to the ball for too long, you would get yourself into a great position and hope he would pass the ball, but most of the time he didn’t. However, he usually scored or made the keeper make a save.” In the same interview, Sir Bobby spills the beans on 1966, turning down Newcastle, his brother Jack, life at Old Trafford with the Glazers and that dreaded comb-over.

QUOTE Charlton: “Ronaldo's better than Best” Right. The only remaining thing I wanted to know. Maybe he is?! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) But I still can't wait for him to sign up for Real Madird, and then see how much praise is heaped upon him, then. He'll probably be just another diving Portuguese then. Then again, he's about to get a contract extension for £150,000 per week (from £120,000) up till the year 2013. So who know! PS: I don't mean to bash CR in anyway. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) It's just that George Best became George Best when he was a finished article towards the end of his career. Christiano still has a long way to go, in my opinion, even though he may be on the right track.
