Ya know what this forum is full of anti-Engilsh cynics and quite frankly I've had enough of this place now.

prem - 63% foreign players

Bundesliga 51% foreign players

La Liga 41% foreign players

Serie A 36% foreign players

So it seems the prem has got the highest amount of foreigners while the Serie A has the least (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

And? You're assuming that all these foreigners are any good. United have plenty of English, or at least British players that play often, and they're the Champions of England and Europe. While the best team in Italy has very few Italians. So you can twist it this way and say English players are good enough to be Champions of Europe, but Italians aren't good enough to win your own league.

But to me how many home grown players United and Inter have isn't that important, Villa are very English and we've done well with our team the way it is.

That's can be skewed one way or another very easily, you know that.

Comparing Messi V Ronaldo (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

It's a pretty unfair comparison though. I mean Messi was out injured for many weeks. besides he's not a 'goalscorer' type player.

As for who will win the individual titles, I think, there shouldn't even be any debates. it's clear they're Ronaldo's. even I, who rate Messi pretty much higher, admit that.

I was taking the piss. Me, chip on my shoulder over Newcastle? I don't even really get how you've come to this conclusion, what do I have to be jealous of, seriously.

The top 4 of the English Premiership league have fewer English players playing than the top 4 of the Italian Serie A have Italians playing. With the exception of Inter... Milan, Roma and Juventus are very Italian. These are just facts.

My point was about leagues and not clubs, you were the one who bought clubs into it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Ash, I don't think of myself as anti-English; I just don't generally enjoy watching the English league. That's my subjective opinion and trust me when I say I'm very much in the minority in the States when I say something like that. I prefer Italian football, full stop. And that's why I'm here on this board. Speaking of which, the Palermo-Roma game is underway so I'm going to nip off to the Serie A thread for now.

But again, it's still not proving anything. For all we know these foreign players make up the bottom 6 clubs in the league. THAT is why you have to look at individual clubs. The reason you aren't doing this is because it doesn't fit into your arguement.

Tennie, there's a difference between the way you and others respond to this arguement though. You are just putting your opinion accross and say you don't like the EPL, that's fine. Many other people just go on about how crap the league is.

The ironic thing is alot of people on here go on about how crap the EPL is, then go on and say it's got loads of foreign players. So they're basically saying all these foreigners are crap. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I'm not even going to enter a discussion.

Nice attempt at flaming by the way.

Sorry! didn't mean no teasing... or flaming.

@ Kurt

Would you forget the current champions of Italy? they're "Internazionale".

Jesus H. Christ. D1ck is a very common name, for crying out loud. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Anyone ever read the novel Moby D1ck, or the works of Philip K. D1ck of 'A Scanner Darkly' fame? Not to mention there are thousands of people with this name. Gee, whiz!

It seems that every chance you get you try to chip at Newcastle. IIRC it started when I said they were a big club, you started all this nonsense about Newcastle not winning anything in 50 odd years so can't be a big club. In that case then Nottingham Forest are the third most successful club in England (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

At least that's not me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleepysmiley03.gif) While I don't buy the Barclay: The best damn league in the world analogy, but still I think the English league is right up there with the Germany, Italian and Spanish. The big four. Not necessarily my favorite one to watch because of the gameplay and style. Personal preference yes, but that's not to say the league is crap, because it isn't.

Plus, I'm the first one to admit the tons of $$$ floating around there. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/96.gif) That's one measure of success.
