were probably going to buy 1 more player and thats it. Then in december gallfatiani is going to say "were good as we are"

Probably... I have to say it's becoming old... If we don't buy enough, it's OK for me, because it's out of my control... So I won't get mad or depressed, but if we do then, that's just one step in the right direction. The only player we could buy to make me excited for next season is Gomez. But with all the talk about Kaka playing as a SS next season, I'm not so sure the management want to spend much. They got Flamini and they will make Gattuso stay, so then they'll be able to play their dream 5 DM formation...

doubt that...we've already got one in and there's a very good chance of us signing at least 3-4 more players.

i know we've been pretty weak in the past couple of years, but i honestly feel like this summer will be different.

Maybe we'll even sell Pato and Seedorf and play with just Kaka upfront alone and 5 difensive mids behind him with 4 centerbacks in defense (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Just think about it

Bonera--Nesta--Kala--Maldini
----Rino--Flamini--Ambro----
---------Pirlo--Brocchi---------
------------Kaka----------------

That will strike fear in the hearts of every UEFA Cup team on the land!! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

God, Carlo's endless love towards defensive midfielders is becoming a real sad joke now... I don't know exactly what is it that attracts R7 so much to Carlo's football...

Probably the fact that he has led us to victories in the past.

But what he also forgets is that some of our biggest wins with Carlo were achieved while actually playing great attacking football and using only one defensive mid, 3 trequartisti and 2 strikers with offensive fullbacks (Cafu, Sergio)

It's a pity.. when he opts for an attacking Milan, the team plays incredible. I don't know why he doesn't always use two strikers/less defensive midfielders. remember Napoli game at home? Gattuso was suspended so we fielded a striker in the starting XI. two times we conceded easily, but in return it always looked like we were able to score anytime we wanted. that's excitement. that's what I want from Milan...

Yeah and the irony is that we still conceed even if 3 defensive mids are playing, last week's game against Napoli is a prime example, and it has happened countless other times

To play Xmas when your full backs cannot make one proper cross is a tragedy. Xmass is so different with Cafu/Sergio [at the top of their game] than Oddo/Favalli. our awful full backs are one of the reasons we sucked this season.

We used to play 4-3-1-2 with attacking fullbacks also, now we play with CB on the wings when we already have to defensive mids on either side of midfield.

And Janku and Oddo last season were in form it worked in the CL, but now with Favalli and mostly Bonera, plus the 2 defensive mids and another one when Pirlo is suspended, I'm surprised that we manage to get the ball anywhere near the opposition's penalty box (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

This season's failure might have been party down to the management's fault for not ensuring that the team is equiped enough to last the long season that we were about to face but it's also partly down to Carlo's stubbern actions and his unwillingness to take the game to the opposing team, when in the past we always went out to play our own game rather then counter that of the opposition by implementing defensive rigid tactics that have proved time and again that they don't work
