^^^

That still doesn't help us. We need a CM, a SS and a LB.

People leaving does not help.

Montolivo? Nope
Aquilani? I really don't think so
Cigarini/Dessena? The only two people we can hope to land. I doubt we'll try.

I just don't see how we can keep focussing on our strikers forgetting that our mid-field and wings is where we're losing out.

It's not like our strikers are getting a 100 shots on goal every match...

i think Eto'o is unlikely as he many times declared he wouldnt leave Spain,also considering He doesnt cost less than 50 m euros,we could sign Benzema with this money,also considering he declared Milan is his dream club.

We need 2 Side back,as Zambrotta is not enough considering the injuries and fitness problems of him,Pasqual or Vargas is needed,even Antonini is welcomed,better than Favalli at least.

============Lloris==========================
Oddo======Nesta==========Mexes=======Zambrotta=
======Gattuso/Flamini===Pirlo=======Aquilani=======
================Kaka======================
=======Pato============Benzema==============

Lloris 7 m euros
Mexes 15 m euros
Zambrotta+7 m euros
Aquilani (Gila swap)
Benzema 40-45 m euros
Nasri (Gourcuff+money)
Borriello
Antonini

maximum 8 players.

OUT
Dida
Cafu
Serginho
Favalli
Brocchi
Emerson
Gourcuff
Ba
Digao
Gilardino

A Mexes - Nesta partnership would be amazing.

I don't think so. I believe A Nesta Stam(when he was a bit younger of course) partnership would be more ideal. Nesta and Mexes are way too similar. Nesta and Maldini work for two reasons:

1) Maldini is naturally a LB, is good at attacking. He adds the needed edge and dimension to Nesta's purely defensive tactics.

2) Maldini is God

Just as Gattuso - Brocchi doesn't work

Just as Pippo - Gilardino doesn't work

Nesta and Mexes won't quite work as expected.

I would make 5 transfers, with two of them being world class players. That with the addition of more youth players such as Darmian, Paloschi and some other ones who will re-join us from loan will be more than enough.

Also, some players will need to be shown the door, of course, for motivation and psychology boost.

Milan Linked With Mexes – Gila Swap

AC Milan are hoping to sign Roma star Philippe Mexes in an exchange deal involving Alberto Gilardino, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Rossoneri have long been admirers of Mexes, who has established himself as one of the best centre backs in Serie A.

The Gazzetta says that Milan are willing to hand over Alberto Gilardino as part of the deal to sign Mexes.

Gilardino's future at San Siro has been in huge doubt for quite some time now following a third disappointing season for the Rossoneri since his big-money move from Parma in 2005.

Yesterday the striker’s agent admitted that he would welcome a move to Roma.

"Certainly to play with Totti would please everyone,” Giovanni Bia told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“Alberto is a footballer who plays for the team. His future will be discussed in June. Currently Alberto has a contract with the Rossonero club. Later on we will decide what to do.”

Roma have identified a penalty box striker with Gilardino’s characteristics as their primary summer transfer target, but it remains to be seen if they would be willing to let such an influential player as Mexes leave.

Strikers and Midfielders are different from Defenders.

I agree with you that Pippo-Gila or Gattuso-Brochi doens't work, but Nesta-Mexes is totally smth else.

They have similiar characteristics, but that doens't mean they'll fail. That probably means they'd actually succed.

Rio-Vidic are also similar in a lot of aspects, but is working perfectly.

Here the problem is that we aren't signing Mexes at all (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I wouldn't mind Mexes, though to be honest I'd probably prefer Chiellini (though that's not realistic as I doubt the Zebras would let him go) or Barzagli (possibly slightly more realistic, but Palermo's Zamparini is a nutcase).

Galliani: "Scambio Gila-Mexes? Vedremo"

Joke of the week: Milan interested in Eto'o (as some said before, it is on Gazzetta today).

Ronaldinho and Eto'o leaving Catalonia in the same Summer? As much I like Eto'o's goatee I think it's pathetic news from Gazzetta. Probably Galliani is already looking for season-tickets like last Summer...

Mexes would be a good signing, they can have Gilardino. Mexes-Nesta would work, plus Nesta is 32 so he's not going to be around forever.

Genoa's president declared that Borriello is worth 20 m euros,so we have to pay 10 m euros for him.

According to Today's La Gazzetta dello sport(newspaper edition) Milan after blocking Zambrotta contacts with Barcelona again for Samuel Eto'o.

also They claims Mexes-Gila could occur as Romanistas believes They could find his replacement in Lucio.

Also considering Mexes has a 15 m euros clause on his contract,it means we are in loss of 9 m euros(as Gila was bought for 24 m euros)

by the way,Marko Van Basten asked for Gourcuff for his ajax.

Paloschi43 than you very much for all the info man!!!!!! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) About the Di Gennaro info too!

Milan blocked Zambrotta's move? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

Gourcuff at Ajax would be great! No, better, it would be ideal!! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I don't think Fiorentina need a forward (who I don't think is so desperate to join Milan) to swap a very good goalkeeper with Gila.

(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I think Nesta - Mexes would work just fine! But I'd rather see Nesta - Barzagli! The French is amazing but quite often he has some bad games. Barzagli is not at Nesta's level but he is solid and together with Nesta I think they'd make a great pair!! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

It all depends on how much Palermo would ask for Barzagli. Zamparini is crazy, he might opt not to sell at all to Milan... if they ask as Roma ask for Mexes then I think we should go for the French, no second thought! But if the price is reasonable then we should get Barzagli and swap Gila with Aquilani cause Roma are not crazy to strengthen us with both Mexes and Aquilani... Lucio was mentioned, I think he is a great defender, he and Juan would be great!

I have been thinking about this for a while, the thought is the purchase of Giuseppe Rossi from Villareal

Before you crucify me, hear me out.

He has plenty of characteristics which we need or lack and to me he seems like and ideal partner to Pato.

20 years of age, with brilliant techinque, an eye for goal, good passing, excellent dribbler and finisher, so whats not to like?

The only drawback is his average heading and fairly short size, and the fact he isnt a pure CF, more like a Pato style striker. He is fairly quick and he and Pato seem like ideal foils for each other

Hey, I like Rossi. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Wouldn't mind seeing him at Milan at all, though he's not the 'strong' center forward Milan are supposedly looking for.
