It's not bad,...it's.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/puke.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/puke.gif)

So it's adieu to offensive fullbacks, adieu to team depth in the defensive department! Really great!!
Now,..we have the mighty Bonera as backup. Great!

{Oh yes, I've forgot Antonini can be an RB}

That's the worst thing about this transfer. We have Zambro and Janku...both quality. But besides them we only have Maldini and Bonera...and both of them should play in the center.

selling oddo is and relying on zambro as our only natural RB is like getting ride of all our CF and relying purely on pippo with kaka,r10 slotting in when pippo is subbed....

It's a 1 year loan-with-option, by the way.

I see the bright side to everything. If anything, we can use a home grown talent from the youth squad. Maybe Sagnol wouldn't be such a good idea. I didn't realize he was injured.

Darmian does play RB. He did so for the U19s in the recent tournament.

Then there you go. And besides that, Oddo's form has been downhill in the last year... so I'd actually be more happy with Darmian...

He's young, but if we ever need him he'll get the call-up.

Anyways check this out... it's from the ultimate rubbish source... but apparently the deal with Lazio for Brocchi has gone through.

http://www.goal.com/en-US/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=838380

A deal was quickly struck for midfielder Cristian Brocchi and the player has now moved to Lazio from AC Milan. The transfer was completed a few days before the start of the Italian league season and it seems that the player has earmarked Sunday's showdown with Cagliari as his potential debut.

It is estimated that Brocchi agreed a deal of around €1-1.2 million-a-year to join the Roman club, which is slightly less then his earnings at Milan. The hard-working Brocchi is a tough, no-nonsense midfield general in the mould of Rino Gattuso, making the determined player an invaluable buy for the Biancocelesti.

The management will be pleased to be able to rely on him for this weekend's Serie A opener at the Stadio Sant'Elia, especially considering the current injury plague tearing through the squad. Recent reports suggest that Argentinian Mauro Zarate is struggling with a knee injury and is not expected to be available for the game. Captain and Lazio talisman Tommaso Rocchi is also injured, but has promised the fans that he, “will be back against Milan.”

---

No more Brocchi... we are getting rid of the players weighing us down... while I don't think Oddo was the best idea, we can easily use Darmian if needed.

I am all in favour of playing Darmian, but how likely is Carlo to play him? I can see him playing Favalli there before Darmian, unless Antonini is forced to play there

btw i do not trust Zambrotta one bit. to me he is in decline phsically. I dont think he has what it takes anymore. He didnt exactly set the world alight in pre season nor did he do well for the Azzurri. He needs to perform significantly better in order to justify his inflated transfer fee

I am also now annoyed by the arrival of Sheva. His entrance led to Paloschi's move, and will definitely harm playing chances for Borriello and/or Pato.

As far as that, Favalli does have his uses... he's not a bad player. I think he's decent and never really had a bad game with us. He's not world class... but a decent utility player. Antonini is left back.

I think Zambrotta was one of my favorite signings... I think he is fitting in the squad better, and recent pre-season matches have started to prove that.

Actually, 4 strikers is optimal for any team. It would be terrible to start the season with only three forwards. Paloschi needs to develop elsewhere... even without Shevchenko, Paloschi would not get all that much playing time. I think Carlo will play with two strikers now.

Goal.com has jumped the gun on this one. The deal hasn't yet been signed and the latest (from tuttomercatoweb) is that the contract will be signed sometime tomorrow (Friday).

Yeah they have a bit to think of it.

I just want it to happen... it's important so other midfielders get a chance. No more Brocchi as a sub...

Hopefully we can get a good 1 - 1.5 million out of this deal.

BTW... ON ACMilan.com they posted all the pictures of the players... look who got on there...

(IMG:http://lmms.esperia.com/multimedia/529-5.jpg)

He looks like a younger Jaap Stam... lol..

I'm a bit sad to see Milan and Oddo part ways, but it was the best decision for both parties. Oddo reached the top with Milan too soon (2007 CL) and perhaps that's the reason his form fell last season. a new challenge was needed and both Oddo and the management knew that. I hope a new RB is gonna be brought in though. we better not abandon the RB now that we have more or less strengthened all other areas.

Good luck to Massimo.
