@Jack: if you really think our defense was gritty against Arsenal then we have a totally different view of the game...

QUOTE (Tennie @ Mar 20 2008, 12:13 AM) Glowing article on Mediaset's sport website today about Mario Gomez. Looks like there may be real interest from Milan. linkAnd what does it say really? It seems like milan are being linked with every players FFS. And what is the most reliable transfer rumours website? channel4? (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) goal.com? tribal football?

Baptista, Sheva, Kaka would score BOATLOADS of goals. I am all for us signing a big time long term striker like Benzema, Gomez, or Huntelaar (no1 else is really worth big money IMO). But if Milan is going to be miserly in the market..a sheva loan and a 10 million dollar baptista signing would seal the deal for us.
It seems like Yoaan is off, but according to reports we are looking to get somebody back for him, we wont be offloading him for nothing. Reported swaps for Nasri/Menez. - i didnt know who menez is before this link..but Samir Nasri is a future star.
We have need for maybe ONE more productive player in each department. The players in (..) would fill the holes we have perfectly. And we could rebuild for no more than 25 Euros!
Attack: (Baptista), Pato, (Sheva), Pippo, Paloschi.
Mids: Pirlo, Gattuso, Kaka, Seedorf,(Nasri/Menez)
Defense: (Zambro), Nesta, Bonera/Kaladze/Maldini, Oddo, Cafu.
Ideally: Berba/Benzema/Huntelaar/Gomez. (at LEAST 20 Mil for ONE of them)
Realistically: Baptista & Sheva. (20 Mil for BOTH)

As I said in the other thread, I don't want Craptista. He turned his nose up at Milan's offer last year and, well, there're other guys with less attitude who can play his position.
As for reliability of articles, tribal's the worst. don't believe anything you see there unless you see it in other places (like official club websites). Goal is marginally better but isn't always particularly reliable. Channel 4 isn't too bad though they tend to slant stories into gossip-column like things.
In Italian, I think Gazzetta Dello Sport is probably the most reliable overall but that's a qualified statement. Milan has issued 2 press releases in the last two days condemning Gazzetta for its inaccurate articles (one having to do with Kalac's wages and the other having to do with summer transfer market plans). I consider Mediaset to be - in general - more reliable than others for MILAN news only. Tuttosport is great for Juve news but lousy for anything else. Corriere is...fit to line birdcages. Tuttomercatoweb is a website that pulls stuff from the various other sites into one location. Good to konw what's being said but be sure to check your sources.

Well if you told me what you understood by gritty ...I can tell you whether we have a different view of the game or not.. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Nasri is ok...fast, and dribbles...needs to shoot better. But he looks lightweight and he's injury prone.

QUOTE (m1ke @ Mar 19 2008, 07:49 PM) I dunno, I thought that against Arsenal our defence was probably the unit that performed best. It was our midfield that lost us that game. Well if we're talking about the back 4 then they did relatively well... except for Oddo who was ridiculed by Adebayor (!!) a few times in the second leg and the kaladzity that allowed Arsenal's second. But when I say defense I mean our whole defensive mechanism... all men on the pitch attack and all of them defend, it's a unit... so in that sense, defensively, we sucked big time... But he looks lightweight and he's injury prone. I took it in a good sense... (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Nasri has been outshined by Gurrcuff in the U21's every time I've seen them. He does not look so special to me. Then again, I'm not so good at spotting this certain something that separates the prospects from the talents...

QUOTE Milan To Sign Gomez Or Berbatov – Report AC Milan will sign either Stuttgart’s Mario Gomez or Tottenham Hotspur’s Dimitar Berbatov in the summer, according to the Corriere dello Sport.
e Rossoneri have identified a top-class centre forward as their number one transfer priority.
While Chelsea’s Didier Drogba and Arsenal’s Emmanuel Adebayor are more high-profile options, their price tags have scared Milan off.
Instead the dethroned European Champions are looking at two slightly cheaper alternatives in Gomez and Berbatov.
The 22-year-old Stuttgart star Gomez has a Spanish father and a German mother, but has opted to play his national football for the country of his birth, Germany.
The striker, who was Player of the Year in Germany last year, has been in fine form again this season, and is currently the joint top-scorer in the Bundesliga with Luca Toni, on 14 goals.
Berbatov meanwhile is widely regarded as one of the best strikers in the English Premiership, and he has once again been in stunning form this season, scoring 21 goals in 44 appearances for Spurs in all competitions.
The Bulgarian, who was on target again last night in the 4-4 draw with Chelsea, would be open to the move, as he is desperate to play for one of the giants of Europe.
Berbatov would cost in the region of €25m, although it is possible defender Milan Dario Simic may be included as part of the deal.
goal.com I think this is a very realistic article. Drogba may be an option but i really don't think chelsea are going to let him go. Gomez or Berbatov seems more realistic to me. I hope we sign gomez though. That would be an amazing signing.

This is so boring... QUOTE Milan to sign Torres, Drogba, Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo and Maradona - Report (aka I wright what sounds intriguing) AC Milan will sign all of the above cause I just had a dream about it.
The Rossoneri have identified buying at least 5 forwards as their number one transfer priority.
While loaned out players Marco Borriello and Ricardo Oliveira are cheaper options, it's said that Fester accidentally hit himself on a fan's baseball bat and decided that money needs to be spent.
Instead the dethroned European Champions are looking at creating a new era with this powerful quintet whose entertainer is going to be Kakha Kaladze (check out his new DVD 'Kaladzities 2008: Watch and Cry')
The 47-year-old Argentine star Maradona who has surprisingly been included as a target for the Rossoneri, has a Japanese uncle and once slept with an Nigerian whore from whom he reportedly stole a kilo of cocaine.
Rooney, who was voted Ugliest Footballer Alive in Tokelau last year, has quickly moved to distant himself from this latest rumor: "Huh?"
Cristiano Ronaldo meanwhile is widely regarded as one of the biggest whiners in the game but he's been scoring even in his sleep this season so you can suck his ****!
The Portuguese, who was on target again last night with 4 hookers in his hotel room, would be open to the move, as he is desperate to discover Milan's red district!
Torres and Drogba would cost in the region of €40m each although it is possible that this repost is stupid and unfounded but I had nothing else to right about and this will keep the site crowded.
