The whole thing should be left to rest by Milan. It's clear that Chelsea will not just give him to us on loan while paying a large portion of his wages, especially not after paying that ammount of money for him in the first place.

Milan are 'a long way from Sheva'
Thursday 21 August, 2008
Latest reports suggest that Milan are some distance from reaching an agreement with Chelsea for the signature of Andriy Shevchenko.

The Ukrainian international was a hero at San Siro before leaving for Chelsea in the summer of 2006.

Sheva has suffered horribly at Stamford Bridge and is allegedly desperate to return to his old stomping ground and rumours stated that a loan deal between Milan and Chelsea was almost complete.

However, despite Milan director Silvano Ramacconi's claims yesterday that an agreement is close there are a number of stumbling blocks.

According to The Independent, the Rossoneri have asked Chelsea to pay a portion of Shevchenko's wages but the Blues are unwilling to do so.

Having dug deep in their wallet to bring Ronaldinho to the club earlier in the summer, Milan don't have a great deal of money available for Sheva's salary.

It is widely believed that the only way a deal can be done is if Shevchenko is included in a move for defender Branislav Ivanovic

The bold part is again a blunder by C4 and it seems there is this wage issue earlier reports said it was agreed in meeting btween SIlvio and roman now off course it is different atleast accroding the independent..... if chelsea ahd agreed and now turned around again then this is no gud or maybe and prbobly it is the itlain media which hypes stuff to much

I don't think that can happen now because of the contract.

Question for you UK folks: Is the Independent reliable? They seem to be the source of this morning's rumor.

If he is not coming good news!

We can focus on getting a defender from elsewhere. Forget sheva. That's history. He's not what he used to be. We don't need a striker who is a shadow of what he once was... we need to get a defender.

And I don't think we should be doing business or even talking to Chelski.

Tuttomercatoweb is reporting that Chelsea has decided they don't want to loan Shevchenko; the only way they'll let him go is for a direct sale for 20mm Euros and Milan has said no.

Its more reliable than The Sun and Daily Mirror, but a little less reliable than the Guardian

Edit:

That is such an audacious offer that only Chelsea would try rip off someone like that. The Shevchenko deal is dead and buried now. Paloschi stays and an EU spot is still available (if the rumour is true)

If you think Berlusconi would put out in this deal in particular, you would have to be kidding me

QUOTE (amancik @ Aug 21 2008, 05:27 PM) *
But only last year I was dreaming of this line-up, and in the next few days it might turn into reality.

Shevchenko
Pato
Ronaldinho
Kaka'
Seedorf
Pirlo
Flamini
Jankulovski
Maldini/Kaladze
Nesta
Zambrotta
Abbiatti

I mean, is this fantasy football or something?

I guess with 12 players out on the field for one team, it is definitely fantasy football (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Though, of course, if you want to turn it into reality, try asking Sepp Blabber (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Mediaset is reporting that the deal's over too. They also seem convinced that at least one defender (their words) will now arrive.

it seems all of these news are rumors , they started with Berlusconi and Abramovic dinner and then news more and more , if there is such an agreement between managers and if we remember these conditions were in news from the first time like Sheva wages , so there is no reason to think what they were in agreement from the first time now are the problems !! maybe there is something else that blocked .

Wow....After two days of high expectations...It gets ruined...That's why i usually don't put my hopes high when milan wants to sign players that are actually good..I would have loved him to come but oh well..We'll do with what we have...Now lets actually get someone that's actually important to the team as of right now...A defender...
