QUOTE (m1ke @ Jun 28 2008, 01:08 PM) Can't blame him for wanting a move if 'dinho arrives - he's certainly the most likely to be pushed aside if it happens (even though he played well last season). Massive loss if he goes though - we need to keep hold of him as not having a decent squad depth was the cause of our problems last season. I can't see him on the bench if R10 comes. I suppose he'll play next to Rino/Ambro/Flamini and Pirlo like he did when Rui was still at Milan. We played some of our best football with that formation, and with Seedorf there instead of a second defensive mid we will have more creativity rather then the stale performances we have been seeing these last 2 seasons

Totally agree he's much better in that role than as a trequartista, dunno why he wants to play there so badly. Can't see him going. QUOTE (dst @ Jun 28 2008, 03:01 PM) It's a common guy saying here and yes the English version I actual got from that show! Great show, are you watching it? (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) By the way, do people in Malibu really dress like Charlie? My, is his style hideous! Well... he's got the girls so... (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Wow, wouldn't have thought you could watch it there (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Yea it's (was) awesome, they showed the last ever series but still watch the repeats. Wish I could say I know for sure but probably, it must be like summer all year round. He's got the magic touch with them & a cool pad so I don't think they notice what he's wearing (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

QUOTE (dst @ Jun 28 2008, 05:40 PM) I like van der Vaart too. But...there's something with him that does not make him a great player. Up till now he never ever played one great season. Last season was the nearest he ever came, but close to the final 3 months he totally dissapeared. In big matches..he just choked. Just like at this Euro. Holland played good, but Van der Vaart stayed out of the limelight. Anyway, Milan could change that. He should be are target, but,... I've found also some reports that we are interested in AZ Alkmaars Ryan Donk (22 year old defender), but that's 99% just agent talk, that's why I didn't mention it even. Anyway, giving up Seedorf for Ronaldinho is rediculous. That means we gain nothing. We should keep him. I'm not sure Clarence is first-team material for sure any more, but with some competition he'll ensure his position.

Ah! I've missed Ronaldinho... I watched some vids of his on YouTube again and I realized that I've missed his magic! I hope to see him get back on his feet. If that will be in Milan then great but any team would do. Except Inter.
And Liverpool. And Real Madrid.

I don't really want him here but he's better than nothing, problem is, if he comes in and Seedorf leaves, we're back to square one, it will be almost as if we haven't signed anyone. We'd just be replacing one lazy talent waster with another. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

QUOTE (zdrossoneri @ Jun 28 2008, 08:53 PM) Comparing Ronaldinho with Seedorf ... (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) where's the world come to (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) At their peak, Ronaldinho = 10 Seedorfs We just need to revive Ronaldinho, which IMO, is not impossible at all. While I agree with what you're saying, as lazy and bad Seedorf has been for us of late, he's still been twice the player R10 has been recently. Reviving him is not impossible, no. But why haven't Barca been able to get the best out of him? There's always the chance he just doesn't care anymore.

Easy question...Barca has a history of not getting the best out of their players. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

QUOTE (zdrossoneri @ Jun 28 2008, 06:21 PM) There's this good thing about Ronaldinho's arrival that both him and Seedorf will be motivated to prove themselves and be a starter, so there's a good possibility that their performances will improve a lot compared to last season. but if someone like Drogba or Adebayor comes, our midfield's situation will remain unchanged. a slow Turtle, an exhausted Pirlo and Kaka, who has been suffering from the opponents' kicks for so long. Ronaldinho will give Carlo a lot of choices, both in midfield and attack. That's why I would prefer R10 to an out and out striker like Adebayor, the fact that he can give us so many different options of how to play. Not to sound like Galliani but getting Dinho would be signing like 2 or 3 players because of the different positions he can fit into, I've even seen him play in that Pirlo position for Brazil. Getting Adebayor will just be getting a striker, nothing more. Ronaldinho has that something extra that he can guve us. Plus, by signing R10 we would be signing a world class player, something Adebayor I don't think will ever be. QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Jun 28 2008, 07:29 PM) Anyway, giving up Seedorf for Ronaldinho is rediculous. That means we gain nothing. We should keep him. I'm not sure Clarence is first-team material for sure any more, but with some competition he'll ensure his position. There is no way that Seedorf would leave, the only reason we're speculating that he could leave is what he said about the premier liegue, which is something I can't ever see happening, Seedorf playing in the premier league. If R10 comes Seedorf will drop back into central midfield, just like he used to play before Kaka became a striker and Sheva was still at Milan. And personally I think he played better in that position. It will be the classic xmas tree formation with R10 and Kaka supporting the striker and Seedorf and Pirlo plus a defencive mid in the center. And I'm sure it won't always be like that since wth R10 Carlo will be able to rotate players like Kaka and Seedorf much more freely and will be able to use other formations. And I don't understand why you would be against R10 coming since he will enable Carlo to be much more flexible with formations and when rotateing players. Much more then if we get an in-box striker like Adebayor
