Morgoth, in the last two U23 games I've seen from the Toulon tournament, Abate has shown the pace you mentioned. I also liked the ball control and the fact that he had more good crosses into the area in those two games than Oddo (and do keep in mind that I like Oddo) has had...most of the season. There were times when I felt like I was watching a young, blonde Cafu running up and down the wings (yes, Abate is a midfielder and not a RB but that's the best visual comparison I can make). Really, Abate has impressed me. I had no idea he was capable of performances like those I've seen.

QUOTE (TriniKing_CE @ May 27 2008, 09:13 AM) Indeed this can make Serie A very interesting / more competitive Not to mention the eventual arrival of Mourinho at inter and the likely arrival of Ronaldinho for us (among others hopefully), serie a can get even more interesting! Oh, how I wish inter sign someone like Carlo Alberto Perrara (the Brazil coach in the last World Cup). If things oil up well between Mourinho and Inter, then they'll be very hard to catch up. More so if they get a couple of more world class players. Things can get real bad real fast. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Not that Milan can't beat them, it's just that I'd much rather have them rotting at 10th place than anywhere near the top. And someone like the Mourin man is only going to make them strong. I know the Mourinho deal is almost done, but a man can dream, right? I just hope we can continue the rebuilding phase properly and not focus on players like sheva/ eto etc... Signing palyers who are young liek Lloris are how to build our cycle and continue success. Whats the point of bringing in zambro eventhough he is good, when he willbe 32 and same with shevchenko who will be 33?
