today's performance was beautiful to watch. But im waiting this out. Yes, gila played like the player we bought him to be. However, one of the knocks against Gila that has been repeated in this forum NUMEROUS times is that he only scores at moments that aren't necessarily crucial to milan's success. Yes, he finished very well on his second and his goals did make the scoreline very flattering, lets all not have such short memories. I want to wait for him to start being a CLUTCH player for us..and when i see some consistency, then ill start singing his praises. We are pleasantly surprised and overjoyed when Gila plays like this today, whereas if Didier Drogba or RVN or Hernan Crespo scored those two, it would have been nothing unexpected. That's the confidence i want Gila to give us and to this team. Lets wait before we hail him as the new savior.

Spot on! Great win, great play. But. But, one can't help feeling Lazio were there for the taking. I mean they left space for us to move in, their keeper was like a part-time keeper and all that. Maybe their CL game against Real has taken its toll. This game is not enough to mask the problems of the team, which is too obvious for all to see. This is not taking away anything from the players cos you only beat what's before you.

I know Lazio were going through a rough time. But after our early season crisis, and the Celtic game which would have hurt any team, it was a great response. Any win in the Olimpico is a good result, doesn't matter what circumstances surround it.

Still, I won't get carried away with Milan, or Gila, just yet. One win isn't enough to put us back up there. Next game is going to be tough, Empoli are a very good side, who have come off a great season and look to repeat it again this year. A win would be great, we NEED to turn the San Siro into a fortress!

Exactly. Oddly enough I'm more concerned with the likes of Empoli. I mean those small teams give us more headaches than the bigger ones. It is one of my "grouse" with CA. I can't believe that for the past seasons he hasn't figure out how to overcome them. You don't approach Genoa, Catania, Parma the way you approach Fio, Inter, Juve. It won't work.

Anyway, that Lazio win would surely be a morale booster. Whatever happens,

I agree. I myself predicted a 0-0 draw, since our last two road matches at Lazio ended like that. I definitely wasn't expecting us to play like a house afire, especially since it came after the adversity at Celtic.

However, it definitely showed that class almost always comes through when the chips are on the table.

Just messed up your chances for late night classes with 10ie. But then again, you crossed over to the other side, long ago...how's the view from there? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
