QUOTE Ex-boss blasts Pato pressureThursday 10 January, 2008Italy awaits the debut of Milan’s new golden boy Alexandre Pato, but the 18-year-old’s former Coach has hit out at the pressure on him. With the Rossoneri’s Serie A season in need of a hero, the arrival of a Brazilian prodigy from Internacional has received huge publicity, bordering on hysteria. However, Pato has played just 26 professional games in his career and ex-boss Abel Braga is angry at the weight of expectations after President Silvio Berlusconi recently declared the new recruit could hit the net 30 times. “I heard that Pato will score 30 goals in six months and by saying such a thing you don’t help the boy to grow,†he raged. “He is spoken of as the saviour, the man who can solve all the problems – this is not right. “Too many responsibilities are a burden on him. In a team it is the group that counts and you shouldn’t put all the attention on a single person.†Pato many start alongside compatriot and idol Ronaldo, but Alberto Gilardino is also in the frame while Kaka struggles with injury and Pippo Inzaghi is out. ::channel4::

We cant say really about Pato until the moments that he start to play but there was something serious about him , Berlusconi comments was Ancelotti Comments , Ancelotti chooses Pato for Milan but even himself didnt expect to see those qualities from the player in trainings , changes in his comments show this very well from the first time that he were in Canada until that time when he said he is better than Ronaldinho , if he spoke about Pato like that comes from those realities he saw in trainings , Comments from other players show this too , they really dont lie to us about his ability and those predictions was really normal , their reference was Pato works in trainings , all of them know his age and these conditions , they can't be really stupids all at once , many people said that in Serie A there is tough defenses , are they trying to say our defensive players even in trainings are less !!!! ????

That's what I was thinking. Do you guys/gals think that those comments are real? I mean, of course Carlo does not expect Pato to score 30 goals by the end of the season but do you think he could have been so impressed as to say that or is it only promotional sh!t?? I dunno... we've never done that before with any of our players so I can't really tell...

QUOTE (pKillerMax @ Jan 10 2008, 09:33 PM) An injury in the 25th minute would be pretty funny. He only turned 18 some time ago, he won't be able to do much this year and even next year. I'm predicting he will turn out exactly like HiguaÃn did for Real his first year. There was a lot of expectations, and although he was very fresh and consistent, he didn't put La Liga on fire. Pato will have give us a hand, but it won't be anything dramatic. Ronaldo could be the one, but that depends on his fitness level. doubt that ...i can just imagine him score the winning goal in san siro against arsenal having 5 minutes left till the game its over (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif) he will rule italia and EUROPE(the 8th trophie) (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
