PATO CALLED UP BY DUNGA
11/27/2007

RIO DE JANEIRO - Pato is the only 'foreign' player called up by coach Dunga for the Brazilian Olympic team who will play a friendly on 9 december. All the other called up players, who will form the basis for the Beijing Olympics squad, play in Brazil, five of them in the second division. Among them there will certainly be Rogerio Ceni of San Paolo, who's the world's leading goalscorer among goalkeepers.

About that guy, Rogerio Ceni, he has a quite interesting record: 771 games for San Paolo, 78 goals scored!

Anyone knows what this rule that forbids Pato from playing with us since January is exactly?? I mean... I've seen 17 year olds for other clubs... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Is it a UEFA rule or a Serie A-only one??

I think it's a Serie A rule for non-EU players.

Yes, this rule apparently stands only in Italy. but it doesn't matter now as the Duck season will kick off in just one month (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)

Cause probably the FIGC won't get him a footballer's ID... God this is so stupid! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
