QUOTE (Jack Sparrow @ Jun 26 2009, 09:41 AM) I really don't care what Pato said. He's Brazillian...sooner or later he will leave. I'm more worried that he doesn't leave now. We're on a rather sensitive period...where we're rebuilding our team looking for pillars to build on. It's important we decide once and for all who stays and who goes.
This x amount of money..he stays...but y amount of money he goes is a BS philosophy and not good for the team. Well that's the new philosphy our dear management have now adapted. And he could be from Mars, it doesn't matter whether he's Brazilian or Italian. Its the management that ultimatly sold Kaka, not Kaka that decided to leave. Basically anyone on our team has a price now. We've become the selling club the management always swore we wouldn't become. Should Chlesea really offer the right ammount for ANY of our players they're as good as gone. Simple as that. The idea that Milan can become a club that stands on its own is ridiculous, anyone who condones Berlu's ideas on this should really think hard about it, because there is no way that Milan in the league and economy they're in could become self sufficient. It's just ridiculous to even think it. And this summer we might sell our big player to cover the losses. But with what are we going to cover the losses next year? Selling lemonade next to the San Siro entrance? If we sell all our big assets now, that's all our insurance gone. Next year when we can't even make it out of the group stage of the CL and we have to cover for the losses because of that and the wage bill we're keeping because of our old time players that get 4m a season, then we'll see what happens. Wehn Berlu does not want to put another cent into this club. QUOTE (Bluesummers @ Jun 26 2009, 09:52 AM) Kaka was a very special case, I doubt Pato will be even close to the player he was in terms of loyalty. He will surely leave once hes won the Serie A and champions league here. HA!! Then he'll never leave. Do you really see us winning anything anytime soon? Realistically speaking here.

QUOTE (dst @ Jun 26 2009, 03:14 PM) What does that mean? Maybe you wanted to say "sooner or later we will sell him, like Kaka, who is also Brazilian". Yup. I was too focussed on thinking of the next point, I forgot to state this clearly. We're never going to cling onto our foreign players as hard as we would for the Italian ones. Rino Gattuso might be told the only way he's leaving Milan is through the window....Pato will be told he can leave if somebody bids 45 million. I just realised I came out sounding like I have something against Brazilians.

I just realised I came out sounding like I have something against Brazilians. Like blue said in the other thread should some club bid enough for Rino, he's out, no thinking about it, same goes for Pirlo. It doesn't matter that they're Italian. The price is right? Then you're out

(Fishdoll will try to translate later). EDIT: Here's Fishdoll's translation: Alexandre Pato has had enough, to him the criticism raining down on him and his Milan are excessive, and in this interview to La Stampa, he reinforces his ideas and his desire to win. Interviewed about his intense summer between the Confederations Cup, marriage, and the American tournament, the kid responds: ‘We can also add the fact that I’ve been criticized for my play, but I think it’s fair to remember that I’ve played for my national team and arrived after the others and thus haven’t finished preparation. Dunga’s criticism? I’ll respond to him when I’ve returned to the National team, preferably with an excellent performance on the pitch. Here we’re Milan and my thought is concentrated only on the objectives we should reach starting from this week with the beginning of the championship.’ Then the young Brazilian reaffirms his desire to remain at Milan: ‘I know that they wanted me at Chelsea, but I never thought of leaving. I talked to Ancelotti this summer, but was only able to reach him in London. When he said goodbye to my teammates in Florence after the last game of the season, I wasn’t there because I was doing antidoping. Afterwards we talked, and I’ll always be grateful for what he taught me but I’m not leaving, I’m staying with Leo.’ The kid then gave motivation to his team: ‘I say that you’re all wrong to not have faith in this team. You judge what happens in the games you’ve seen, we know how we’re working in training. We have quality and above all the will to do well. We don’t feel inferior to anyone.” Finally, Pato gave his objectives for this season: ‘I want to score more goals than last year, want to help my team to arrive at the CL finals and win the scudetto.’

He's an ambitious one. Have you guys seen this? It's all about him...they ask him a bunch of personal questions. http://www.swide.com/luxury-magazine/en/Li...ns/2009/008/10/The one that surprised me the most was the fact of how many kids he wants...why doesn't he worry about losing his baby face first?
