QUOTE Milan Return An Option For Ronaldo – Agent Recovering Brazilian superstar and free agent Ronaldo might make a return to his last club Milan, according to his agent.
Today the headline of Brazilian newspaper 'O Globo' was certainly an eye-catching one. The title read 'Fabiano Farah says that Milan is one of the possible destinations for Ronaldo', referring of course to the 'original' Ronaldo who made his name at Barcelona and Inter, not the one who recently captured the Ballon D'Or.
"The Rossoneri could be one of the possible destination for 'El Fenomeno'," said the player's agent Farah.
This would contradict rumours spread by the Turkish press that he is close to a move to Besiktas, which are of course to be taken with a grain of salt. A return to Milan is more probable, especially because the Italian club's management have maintained a good relationship with him since releasing the player at the end of last season following his career-threatening knee injury.
"It's right to be clear on this issue: Milan never lost interest in Ronaldo and before he got injured they wanted to renew his contract," Farah continued. "So Milan cannot be discarded as a possible destination.
"Ronaldo is in the final phase of his rehabilitation. In January he could be ready."
The World Cup winner suffered bad injuries to his knee already in 1998 and 2000, but always managed to come back as strong as before. At 32 years of age now, however, it might be more difficult for him to make another comeback.
Dutch champions PSV, the club he first played for on his arrival to Europe, have also been linked with a move for the striker.

Just a heart stop, Ari? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I literally died after hearing this rumor. I for the life of me hope it's true. He scored goals when he played for us, made inroads into opponent teams, and in general helped to give our attack a completely new dimension. Had he been fit all season, we'd never have finished below 3rd. All said and done, I hope he comes back. If Inzaghi can stay, so can he. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) I don't care if it's on a reduced pay scale contract, all I ask for is another chance. And maybe come January, he might get one?!

Well I love Ronaldo but he and Inzaghi shouldn't have the same status at Milan. Pippo is after all a Milan legend and therefor we can tolerate his injuries and up-down forms.
Ronaldo is a football legend, I know. But just wanted to give a Milan-universum viewpoint.

QUOTE (acid911 @ Dec 7 2008, 12:19 AM) I literally died after hearing this rumor. Hey English language savior, how did you literally die and yet you're still here to tell us about it? I'll tell you what this is, bad use of the word is what it is! Haha gotcha!!! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) By the way, it's quite often that I see the word used this way (in Greek too)... I mean... what the **** does "it literally blew my head off" mean? Your head is right there idiot! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) PS Like Stewie said any person who uses the words "irregardless", "a whole nother" and "all of the sudden" will be sent to a work camps! Add the word literally to that list, just to avoid bad usage.

Well it means 'Literal and figurative language, taken in a non-figurative sense.' (IMG: style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif) Meaning, even though a particular event happened, it happening in words only, not in reality. Meaning, even though I died, I didn't. The good thing is that it isn't used like such in Urdu (Pakistani language), but I get where you're coming from. Oh, and thanks for acknowledging my language saving skills.

Well guess we can all close the book on Ronaldo making a return to Serie A with us or any other team..... Ronaldo signs for Corinthians Tuesday 9 December, 2008
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Former Milan striker has confirmed that Brazilian side Flamengo will be his next club.
El Fenomeno snapped a tendon in his knee while playing for Milan against Livorno last February.
After a painstaking road to recovery that has taken nearly 10 months, Ronaldo is back in training trying to recover fitness and has chosen his next challenge.
There had been far-fetched rumours that Ronnie would return to Milan and he had been targeted by Tuscan minnows Siena.
Flamengo then emerged as the favourites for the 32-year-old's signature, but Corinthians have pipped them at the post.
“It's all true, the contract has been signed,” Corinthians sporting director Antonio Carlos declared. “The President met him last week and did the deal.”
