EXCLUSIVE: RONALDO GETTING BETTER FAST
(IMG:http://img389.imageshack.us/img389/2362/roniuj6.jpg)
Ronaldo could make his return to the pitch earlier than anticipated. Original predictions suggested that Il Fenomeno would be out for nine months, but after seeing him in Milan his physiotherapist Bruno Mazziotti believes he could be back in action sooner.

“He is recovering faster than we expected and that shows great dedication on Ronaldo’s part,” Mazziotti told Fobazo.

The improvement is such that Ronaldo will go to Milanello this Wednesday to meet with his AC Milan teammates and undergo further physio work at the club.

From Thursday onwards he will continue treatment both at the club and at home. The MRI scan and other tests scheduled for next week in Paris with Dr Gérard Saillant have now been moved back to 3 April.

Ronaldo can already bend his injured knee to 50 degrees with no pain. The examinations in Paris will confirm his progress and enable Saillant to see how the tendon operated on last month is healing.

If all goes well in Paris, Ronaldo will then travel to Madrid on 4 or 5 April for his son Ronald’s eighth birthday party on 6 April. After that he is set to head back to Brazil and continue his treatment there.

Best bit of news I've heard all year! Apart from Paolo saying he'll consider continuing for one more season. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) I know some people may disagree with me on this, but the more we can see these legends the better.

Still this means we need new blood. Fingers crossed, our management will buy some reinforcements in the transfer season. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

RONALDO IS IN ITALY
3/11/2008

MILAN - Ronaldo is back in Italy. The Brazilian was in Paris for 26 days of therapies after his knee injury. The Brazilian striker landed at 12.20 at Linate and limited himself to waving to the journalists and raising his thumb. Then Ronaldo left the airport on a car together with his girlfriend Maria Beatriz, who was with him these days in France, and with Milan's manager Leonardo.

Ronaldo: I'll be back

Ronaldo has confirmed he will try to get back to full fitness and professional football after his latest devastating injury.

“I am feeling better and the worse is behind me,” he told Milan Channel after returning from a month in Paris.

“I no longer feel pain and can now walk a bit better. In a little while I can definitively leave behind the crutches, naturally respecting the timetable we have set.”

Il Fenomeno conceded his career could well have been over when the tendon in his left knee snapped and was unsure whether or not to fight his way back through nine months of rehabilitation.

He returned to Italy this week after 26 days in the clinic in Paris and immediately felt more positive.

“It is great to be here today. Returning to Milanello, seeing my friends again and the fact I don’t feel pain are all positive.

“It is still early to talk about a decision, but I am preparing for this great challenge that is getting back to football.”

It is the third time in his career that he has undergone surgery on a knee tendon, although the previous two occasions were in his right leg.
