I know it's probably too early to tell, but I thought I would start the poll now anyway (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
I've got a horrible feeling that this may be Paolo's last season, and we're still not sure how Inzaghi is doing. Cafu will also turn 36, and captain his country at the World Cup for the last time (unless he is actually immortal (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) ) I guess it's going to depend on how well the squad copes in terms of major injuries. So.. do you think Milan need to sign any players in January? And if so, who? |

Milan needs Cicinho or Lucio or Chivu or Kompany or Senderos... a young defender with experience.
Maybe in January not but... next season a lot of things will change, probably these players will quit for Ac Milan: - Maldini (80% possible) - Costacurta (confirmed) - Serginho - Rui Costa - Inzaghi (90% possible) - Cafú (I think if Brazil wins the World Cup, Cafu will retire) - Fiori Also, Stam and Vieri pasts 30 years old, so a lot of new players may arrive in January and at the start of the new season, but buy a pair of new defenders is necessary... |

Expect a massive 'clearout' in the next two years, i.e the players mentioned by Smoje. We need to seriously start thinking of replacements and I believe we should sign at least two defenders in January. That is the priority area now IMO.

Yeh Maldini's exit will be associated with a change of era and ...as u say...CLEAROUT
Inzaghi Vieri Costacurta Maldini Serginho Rui Simic i think wil all be gone within the next 2 seasons. |

The "clearout" players absolutely need to be replaced; otherwise we'll be looking at a very thin squad next year. As a start, it's imperative that Milan buy some defenders in January and re-inforce the back line.

Here are the best young defenders in the Serie A, I'd welcome the signing of any of these players:
(IMG:http://uffa.mainardi.net/risorse/giocatori/b/bonerad.jpg) Daniele Bonera, Parma, Centre-back / Right-back (IMG:http://uffa.mainardi.net/risorse/giocatori/b/barzaglia.jpg) Andrea Barzagli, Palermo, Centre-back (IMG:http://uffa.mainardi.net/risorse/giocatori/z/zaccardoc.jpg) Christian Zaccardo, Palermo, Right-back (IMG:http://uffa.mainardi.net/risorse/giocatori/f/feliped.jpg) Felipe, Udinese, Centre-back (IMG:http://uffa.mainardi.net/risorse/giocatori/c/chivuc.jpg) Christian Chivu, Roma, Centre-back The list would have included Giorgio Chiellini, but since he plays for Juve it wouldn't be easy to acquire him. Massimo Oddo of Lazio and Lecce's Marco Cassetti were not included as they are too old to solve any problems in the long run. |

Good suggestions Demetrio (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)
I'd love to see Chivu in a Milan shirt. |

We need some extra youth (and quality) at the back, and a vice Cafu. Hopefully Marzoratti can save us a few euros and turn into the next Costacurta!!

Provided he's given the opportunity. Milan doesn't seem to trust the primevera anymore. What about Mexes? He seemed so full of potential two years ago. Perhaps playing for a team like Milan would help him reach those potentials. p.s. Isn't Chivu injury prone? I've never seen him play, but honestly, I think he has zero potential of being a Milan regular. Sometimes big clubs just sign this kind of players to help their potential young stars (Kaká) to feel more comfortable and relaxed in a new environment like Milanello.

I watched him play in under-something match championship ... well he's ok but not excellent ... but he's still young ... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)
