Christian Brocchi commented his side's dull goalless draw at the Olimpico stadium of Rome on Sunday evening, which left the distance between the two clubs unvaried.
"It was a bit of a strange match, we were unable to create many chances. Lazio closed itself well and we did not manage to find the right spaces.
"However, a month, a month and a half ago, we would have probably lost a match like this. Now we are still a bit tired for the preparation, but we shall take advantage of it later on, in the crucial moment, and this is a good thing."
Some critics pointed out that the Rossoneri did not give their best against Lazio for fear of ending 6 points behind the Biancocelesti, a theory which Brocchi quickly denied.
"No, Milan did not fear of going -6 points from Lazio, we're not used to having a 'losing' mentality. Maybe Lazio thought this, as they needed a draw to keep the distance unvaried. In fact a strange match came out of it."
