3M? Please... Don Silvio, solve this problem.  (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

But the transfer will only happen (if...) after the next weekend match against Lazio.

8 Million is small fee for todays transfers. come on if West ham can afford dean ashton for £7.25 million we can afford getting oddo. Galliani can argue that oddo just isnt worth 8 million mainly cuz he's not that young and it's not like were getting a RB of cafu's caliber but since other clubs know we are desperate or we should be desperate for new blood they try and rip us off. I think we should just accept the higher prices. i mean Man u paid a £14 million basic fee, which may with time rise up to £18.6 million for Carrick (which is way too much). anyways i think we really need oddo and lets gamble on pato!

you shouldn't judge any move based on EPL's "internal" trade-offs... they have been like that (enormous) for some years now!!

Although I agree that Galliani should get this over with and give him the damn money already!!

Oddo rumours distracting Lazio
Tuesday 16 January, 2007

Valon Behrami has admitted that the uncertainty surrounding Massimo Oddo’s future is affecting the Lazio squad.

The World Cup winner wants to join Milan this January, but the capital club’s demands are currently deemed as excessive by the Rossoneri.

“I am concerned about the continuous speculation and rumours involving Oddo,” said the midfielder.

“He is worried, because the situation is unclear, and we all know that Milan want him,” added the Swiss international.

“He is our captain and we love him, but I cannot deny that we have been affected by this whole situation.

“In any case, I really hope that all the issues will be resolved in the next few days.”

If Oddo should finally complete his move to the San Siro, Behrami is a contender to replace him at right-back.

“I have played in that role several times for my national team, although my responsibilities there are a little different,” he stated.

“It is honestly a position that I don’t prefer, but if I were useful there for the team then the Coach knows that I am always at his disposal,” concluded the 21-year-old.

I don't think he'll join us, although he's almost begging for it... Galliani doesn't want to spent any more money than absolutely necessary this season...that jerk.... IMO we're in desperate need of a new RB, and everyobody knows that...
Of course 8 Millions are a lot of Money for an almost 31-year old player like Oddo, but I don't see any other options....

Lazio make Oddo stance

Lazio chief Claudio Lotito has warned Milan that he’s the only one dictating terms over the sale of Massimo Oddo. “Our needs come before all the rest,” he stated.

The Biancocelesti captain has made it clear that he would like to join Milan this month, but Lotito’s refusal to lower his asking price has seen Rossoneri Vice-President Adriano Galliani admit that he is “pessimistic” over landing the right-back.

“Galliani may be pessimistic, but that is his problem,” said Lotito on Wednesday.

“I never considered this a problem. Milan asked for the player and Lazio are available to negotiate, but we are the ones setting the rules and we have drawn up the conditions.”

Oddo has admitted that Sunday’s match against Milan might be his last with the Roman outfit, but Lotito brushed that comment aside with a characteristic response.

“Is that what he said? Why, does he think he is going to die?” continued the outspoken Biancocelesti President.

“I don’t want to repeat myself too many times. I am able to think with my own head. This isn’t a financial problem, but Lazio need to receive an adequate sum to replace Oddo if he were to leave.

“Lazio come first, then we will worry about the player’s wishes and Milan’s interests.

“The signing of Luis Jimenez proves that we are working hard to increase the potential of this side.

“Galliani knows my request and he is aware that I have already revised my position,” concluded the chief. “It’s now up to Milan to take a step forward.”
