Milan have Dida doubt

Friday 10 November, 2006 :: channel4.com

Milan are dealing with another injury dilemma as goalkeeper Nelson Dida may miss the Roma clash on Saturday.

“Nelson has a back problem and was not able to train today,” said Coach Carlo Ancelotti in Friday’s pre-match Press conference.

The Rossoneri have suffered several blows during the week, as Gennaro Gattuso and Giuseppe Favalli will both be out of action until 2007, adding up to the recently injured Massimo Ambrosini, Serginho and Kakha Kaladze.

“We will see if he will recover in time for tomorrow’s game,” added the former Milan midfielder.

“We have many injured players and I think this is due to the fact that we do not have enough time to rest between matches.

“Take Gattuso for example, he has never suffered an injury [knee ligament damage] like the one he is dealing with now.

“Roma are maybe the worst opponents we could face in this moment, they are strong and have very talented players in the midfield such as Daniele De Rossi and Simone Perrotta.

“However, we are forced to return to being the real Milan, which play with enthusiasm and courage. We are very motivated and we want to start well.”

Ancelotti, unsurprisingly, could not avoid questions on the latest rumours speculating he may leave the club in June, seeing the difficulties encountered so far this term.

“Journalists have been speaking about this for the past five years and I don’t think Adriano Galliani’s renewal of trust in me will stop you all from continuing,” said the smiling Coach.

On a different note, Galliani dismissed Friday’s reports suggesting the club was considering loaning Ricardo Oliveira to Sao Paulo.

“Oliveira has the club’s full trust and will not leave, neither in January, nor on a loan or in any other kind of deal,” read an official note on the club’s website.

And the injury-show continues... I can't imagine Kalac in such an important match like the one tomorrow... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

The only positive is that Favalli is out, other than that it is very bad news.

I think I would prefer Fiori for the Roma match if Dida is still unavailable, or some youth team player.

I'm already having nightmares about what kind of howlers Kalac will offer us (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

Well Dida is included in the squad for tomorrows game.

Right now I'm hoping he will be back by then. I seriously can't even imagine the prospect of Kalac garding our goal

Oh man.... I seriously hope Ancelotti puts Fiori in if Dida doesn't make it... Cause he is surprisingly very good... I don't want Milan to be all f@cking sentimental again and "show Kalac full confidence".... BULL$HIT!!!!!
