Ok, how does we played a so-so game??
Or our game had all the colors of the rainbow in it??
But seriously, I admit I was exxagerating a bit by saying we played a GREAT game, but we did play a good game, to just say we played a terrible game, without justifying it is not right.
We kept total control over the tempo, had the most ball possetion and the best chances of the match, not to mention a wrongfully disallowed goal.
There were elements of the performance that was great. We definitely dominated the match, but we weren't overly dangerous. Seedorf scored onsides.
The dominance was on in 3/4ths of the pitch. The final 1/4 was flat. The tree failed because Lille just bunched in front of the goal, limiting the tactics of the formation. You need a Schevchenko for it to work. Oliveira would have done better than Gila
Kaka had a tough time but he is really missing Scheva at this point for marking and playmaking. But if he's the best attacking midfielder, as many argue, this is his test. Ambronsini needs to sit on the bench, he brings nothing IMO.
Lille also gives a glimpse into what youth could do to a squad, an element that Milan doesn't possess much of. At times they made milan look like a bunch of old timers and came close to scoring. Dida= man of match for Milan.
