well i agree with this and it'll be the most probable line-up, but i would give Seedorf the chance to see how he does...

The match will be played at the Stade Felix-Bollaert which is the RC Lens stadium. Grimonprez-Jooris has been closed 3 years ago and while waiting for the building of a huge 50,000 seats stadium in 2009, Lille is currently playing in the small Stadium Nord-Metropole, which is not in conformity with the UEFA rules.

Last year Lille played CL at the Stade de France. Though Lens is the great local enemy of Lille, they obtained to play this year in their own region.

Lille is an increasing team as Lyon was about 6 or 7 years ago. Of course Milan is greatly superior but they could create a surprise with a few players who reached an international level: Makoun (defensive midfield), Bodmer (polyvalent midfield), Odemwingie (striker) and Adulkader Keita who's a right-winger and probably one of the greatest players ever seen in France at this post since Chris Waddle.

Plus, they have an extraordinary coach. One whom even Milan would be proud if he was in charge for you. One of the 3 best French coaches with Le Guen and Wenger: Claude Puel.

Last year's confrontation with Lyon had been very disappointing for us. I hope we'll demonstrate you something this time.

Yeah but I think Gourcuff will be more fired up for this one, and is the one that knows Lille the most since he played against them regularly.

Lilli just lost to Lyon, 3-1 btw.

I'm not blaming Seedorf for our draw against Livorno because I know the whole team is to blame, but he played a really bad game, I can't count the number of misplaced passes and crosses he made, certainly way below to his average potential.

Hello guys ... this is our whole squad but Paolo and Serginho ... he can't have all 22 players with him !!

Isn't the number of call ups allowed 23?

Lyon brought that one onto themselves. We'll see what Lille can do on Tuesday. But looking at their scoring record in the CL I don't think they will give us a big surprise.

Let's wait and see.

And thanks for the info about the stadium. I see we are going to play in Lens' stadium, adding insult to injury I see (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Nope it was a 4-1 (Malouda, Juninho, Fred 2x; Cris og).

Houiller said Lyon will be stronger this year than last one and it was difficult to believe due to Diarra's departure to Madrid, but I begin to think the contrary now. Malouda has reached a new dimension the same way than Tiago or Fred and the new comes, Toulalan and Källström, are very good.

It's a good mood for the revenge, eh eh eh !

I thought it was 3-1.

But anyway, yes Lyon do manage to stay strong even when they lose key players like Essien and Diarra. That's called good squad management, something that is lacking in most of the top teams in Europe, like Chelsea, Man U and Real.

So are you a Lille fan or a Lyon fan?

Both (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
Lyon replaced Diarra by Diarra (ALOU Diarra from Lens, who replaced Vieira in the WC final) and Essien by Tiago and Toulalan (from Nantes).

Edmilson-Cris.
Sonny Anderson-Fred.
Next year: Wiltord or Govou-Jesus Navàs ?

Not only the top european teams are unable to do that but a majority of French too. Especially Marseille.

Hey, my PSG-Real 93 download is finished. I go seeing one of the great French football moments. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I would replace Bonera with Simic or Kaladze. With the others I agree.

I was thinking about Simic too. Bonera and the croatian would be good with Nesta.

Kaladze? No thanks.

well I don't really feel like admitting but I kinda liked Kakha last night ... I guess it was Nesta though that made the whole defensive operation look more sweet !!

Ofcourse he still was the ol' good One-Big-Mistake(-At-Least)-Per-Game-Kakha (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Well, he could be absolutely invisible too, you can't know ! He joined Lille from Qatar last year. He's able to eliminate 3 or 4 opponents in an only rush !

Oh er... I don't know. Many of our teams have a very nice recent story (Marseille, PSG, Nantes, Bordeaux, Monaco...). I don't like Nantes very well, nor our corsican teams Bastia and Ajaccio (who play actually in Ligue 2). But it's true I'm more a supporter of French football than of a particular team. I HATE Milan (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) as much as I hate MU, Chelski, Juventus Cheaters, the so-called "Galacticos" and most of the "great" European teams. I have respect for a few of them, like Liverpool, Barça or Bayern.

Maldini to miss Lille trip

AC Milan captain Paolo Maldini will miss the Italian side's visit to LOSC Lille Métropole in UEFA Champions League Group H game on Tuesday after suffering an injury to his right thigh in the early stages of the 0-0 Serie A draw against AS Livorno Calcio on Saturday evening.

Detailed tests
The 38-year-old defender will undergo a series of physical tests until Wednesday in order to determine the full extent of the problem. Maldini, who has played two league games so far this season and 90 minutes against AEK Athens FC on Matchday 1, was limited to 14 Serie A appearances last season due to ankle and knee injuries.
