QUOTE (Portugal @ Sep 3 2006, 01:11 PM) Cmon... he's not so bad. Bonera? Good but without experience. Cafu? Please... I would take Cafu as first choice, even though as dst said, he clearly can't play a full 90 anymore. But what the hell can we do? (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Then my second choice would be Costacurta. Seriously, please please forget his age. Everytime he played for us as RB last season he was nothing but solid and that cuts it for me for a sub. Then of course Bonera, and if god forbid, we ever get really desperate, I'll take Simic. But he is terrible. He doesn't know what the term 'first touch' means... Someone should teach him. He is not the confident type of player either, so you can't even rely on that. Like for example, look at Cafu. In the return game against Red Star, he was clearly out of breath in the last 15 minutes, but he did what he had to do confidently and when he made a mistake, he didn't panic. But Simic starts panicing from the first minute. Pay attention to him next time he plays and you'll see what I mean.

Carlo will rotate between Cafu and Bonera, since the former is better at surges and the latter is solid (nearly Stam quality) at the back. Costacurta was the third card last season and he'll (unfortunately) remain that way. I say this because he is so predictable, he used to rotate with Stam and Cafu .. He'll still do them same with Bonera Simic .. Well he can just look forward to the Cuppa Italia games .. He definatly wont be with us next season. What a waste of space on the bench ..

Well I don`t trust him as well, but I think the problem seems to be deep inside of him. Cause when he plays for Croatia, he is more confident, more bold, simply better. Maybe cause he is a shy guy and when he gets from time to time a starter position he can`t handle the pressure...I don`t know, but with the present situation even Dario will be needed for the upcomming season..

QUOTE Massimo Oddo:“If a club really wants you, then they’ll find a way. I have another two years on my contract with Lazio and I’m proud to wear this shirt. The transfer market and everything that happened this summer is a closed chapter now.â€Football Italia He sounds bitter ... QUOTE (dst @ Sep 8 2006, 10:00 AM) Yeh... too bad that article about Milan's ageing defense was interesting I think we should prepare another bid for him in the Jan/Transfer window definently next player we should get-(A defender that is). Sadly these players mite have thier last season in front of them: Maldini?+Costacurta!+Simic!+Cafu? ?-maybe !-fo sure

Simic will stay I belive (there were chances to get rid of him, but we did not used them so I suppose the board has plans with him considering that he also agreed to stay)... As to Oddo,...you know my opinion...I`d salute his words and say thanks, we need freshness and a new face, not a bitter 30-year old Rb who after seasons and seasons at Lazio, Napoli, Verona etc. reminded himself of his youth club...hmmm..sounds a bit like a primadonna to me. I think our board won`t ever repeat what they did this summer, and now they have plenty of searching time to find a suitable RB. Sure there is someone beside MO...
