QUOTE (Locke Lamora @ Feb 28 2009, 06:06 PM) *
Moggi doesn't deserve a second chance at a club like Milan. It would be sending out a signal of "Oh, so we have a disgraced Juventini, a man who destroyed much of Italy's footballing reputation and ensured that two seasons were completely wasted...let's make him director of football."
And that is a patethic signal.

I'll concede the Van Basten point but I don't have a clue about who Leonardo is.
Donadoni wrecked Italy's campaign by firstly not starting De Rossi and secondly by never even trying to play with another tactic than "team milling about in midfield before passing to Toni and hoping he scored (after his display against France he shouldn't have even started against Spain).

And Scolari...well he did brilliantly with Chelsea or what? again, You suggest Milan pick up and swallow what other clubs have choked on and spat out.

Yes those facts are true about moggi. Fair enough.

Leonardo is milan's main scout.

Donadoni-international/club football is different imo.

Anyone is better than carlo at this point imo.

So the main scout is going to take over as coach? Or director of football?
As for Donadoni he needs to actually DO something with a club side before even dreaming of a powerhouse like Milan.

Yup hes getting his coaching licences. I say why not, at least we know he favours the young players.

right now milan is a uefa cup club. I'm sure donadoni has those qualifications.

Come on, you surely realise that a scout-turned-coach debuting as the latter at a top club is not just a, but THE recipe for disaster.

You never know. sacchi was a shoe sales man and turned out to be a legend. I have never played soccer pro either but I could turn into a worldclass coach myself. You never know before you try.

I think moggi has done a fairly good job when he was juve director. Why not?? Yes he has had a dirty past but everyone deserves a second chance. I think he could help us in several deals.

Oh yeah...great....a second chance for Moggi. Who's next? The Taliban?

How about Josef Fritzl and Robert Mugabe? I'm sure they're both nice fellows who are just a tiny bit...misunderstood.
