It's either Galliani is purposely trying to destory Milan or he's just too dumb to see that we badly in need of quality reinforcements.

All the anti-Toni contingent can breathe easier now.

QUOTE (Channel 4)
Agent: No Serie A for Toni
Wednesday 27 May, 2009
Tullio Tinti, the representative of Italian international marksman Luca Toni, has laughed off speculation that the giant striker could join Milan or Juventus.

The former Fiorentina man's position at Bayern Munich is less safe after the arrival of Stuttgart star Mario Gomez.

And there have been suggestions in Italy that Toni may return to the peninsula with the Milan or Juventus shirt.

However, the player's agent Tinti claims he doesn't know where such stories have come from.

“We are taking about fantasy football,” he maintained to Tuttomercatoweb.

“I haven't heard from anyone. There will be no return to his homeland. Toni is staying where he is.”

Toni has an impressive strike rate in the Bundesliga and was the League's top scorer last season.

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ May 25 2009, 12:18 PM) *
That's a very unfair sentence, but, let's not start with the whole Gourcuff-drama...

It was probably an unfair statement on my part.

Especially now looking at the situation after Gourcuff made his decision. If he wanted to really prove himself he would have come back and made Carlo eat his words. But he chose the easy way out and stayed with the smaller club in the inferior league. It's his problem if this is the only thing he'll aspire to in his carreer.

Although I am still not over the fact of how he was treated by Carlo

I was disappointed when I saw the announcement, but that's yesterday! sometimes that line in Fillipo's sig makes so much sense, no use crying over spilt milk! I'm not sad about losing Gourcuff anymore, but I am worried about our future.

@ han

Who knows where will Gourcuff be in one or two years' time? he could end up in another powerhouse...

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) good bye yoann. the guy is going to another powerhouse team sometime in the near future. if only he'd have waited it out and played under a new coach here, im sure he would have earned his place in the starting XI. we mismanaged his talent. we had a perfect opportunity to phase him into seedorfs role, and have him be the linking midfielder with a nice range of passing, a nice touch, and the ability to create and score from distance. i hope management use this 15 Million prudently, but for some reason i'm skeptical, well prlly use it to buy sheva or something, lol.

We'll get our answer regarding Yoann once that move actually happens...

I guess we'll see whether or not we were the ones who made the mistake. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Its hard to blame Gourcuff for not coming back han.
Look at it this way, at the moment he is performing well in a team which plays around him. Should he have come back to us, he risks the chance of what happened initially repeating itself (not to mention Milan was not going to rebuild our team to play around him, maybe that's the type of team Gourcuff needs, a team which plays around him not one in which he needs to integrate himself. Similar to say that of Zizou or Roman)
***just examples - please don't focus on them and take this too technical***.

As far as I am concerned I am sure if he came he would have probably help us and we in return would have helped him grow a player as well. But maybe he knows to himself he isn't ready for a Big European team just yet. Maybe as Zed.D says he would need a bit of time, and then in the near future he would make up his mind to make a leap in his career to a more prestigious team possibly becoming a Quote: 'powerhouse'.

As it currently stands, I find it a little harsh to call it a cowardly move on Gourcuff's part, after all he will be playing CL again come next season, on Sunday he could possibly win the French League Title with Bordeaux, and lets not forget he is still quite young and France is his home, maybe he actually just feels comfortable at there and really likes Bordeaux.

His future has some good way to play out, and as much as I would have loved to see him succeed at Milan, truth be told he would possibly go on to do it somewhere else anyway.

After all he wasn't attached to our club (he could have been), but he wasn't given the support he deserved or confidence placed in him that he needed. He has moved on and now so should we.

I will continue to support him as long as he keeps on the right path. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Agree with you Trini

I wasn't really placing the blame on just him, even if it came out that way. I think everyone knows how I feel about Carlo's treatment towrds Yoann...

But I do also think that Yoann did not want to make the effort to come back and prove Carlo wrong. He knows we'll have a different coach next season. I think it would have been a good time for him to return and make his mark.

But like I said in my previous post, it's his choice and at the end of the day it's his carreer...

i was reading gallianis comments bout the gourcuff transfer and altho he was dissapointed bout not bringin him back it was his fault becuase he wouldnt guarantee him playing time and for that reason was what convinced gourcuff to stay rather then come back. like how stupid are you...do you not watch any of milans games to see that serdoff does nothing for us and to even think ahead to see that we need a quality replacement for him anyway since his contract is up next season...and even still you dont even need to look at it like that since he can play anywhere in the midfield! and he has the balls to say we only baught him for 3 million and sold him for 15 so it was a good investment, clearly he doesnt care but building a team and winning games he just cares bout making money. well if u build a winning team winning earns you money and sponserships its not rocket science.

I do like Gourcuff and I have lost some respect for Galliani over the years but: Why would he guarantee him a starting place?!?

We could very well be playing something like this next season:
Gattuso Flamini
Kaka Ronaldinho
Pato Pippo

What if we get another midfielder too? What if the new coach (if we get one) does not like him either? The kid wants to play in the World Cup did you want Galliani to lie to him and then let him come here and lose his place in the France NT? That would be totally unfair and shameful, Galliani did the right thing for a change, he should not have lied to him, there was simply no guarantee that he would play!

The new coach (if there is one) should have guaranteed Yoann a starting place not Galliani. maybe if we hadn't lost to Roma and secured direct qualification to CL group stages the new coach would have been announced the following day and therefore Yoann would have known whether he was in the new coach's plans or not before deciding anything. I suppose the Roma game loss deprived us of a proper celebration for Maldini, Yoann and maybe even direct CL qualification.
