QUOTE (dst @ Aug 6 2011, 12:56 PM) I agree that Gattuso has been awful and that he must be substituted but that was never a second yellow in my view. The first tackle was ok, but when he kicked out the second time, that was a yellow imo, especially after he'd just got carded and warned multiple times, stupid behaviour. QUOTE (acid911 @ Aug 6 2011, 12:57 PM) Not really. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) You see, some coaches have an air of confidence, an aura that they know what they are doing. And some are just riding their lucky horse seeing where it will take them. Fillipo can spot that, and so can I. Normally I'd agree with you, it's early August (not as much a glorified friendly, this is a serious match), but we've seen enough last year. Our water-tight defense, and some Ibra + Pato magic helped Senior Allegri more than he would like to admit. Agreed

QUOTE (han2503 @ Aug 6 2011, 05:59 PM) It's not a firendly, and the players aren't playing it as such. Inter have been preparing for as long as we have, so there are no excuses of them being ahead of us in their pre-season, even more telling is the fact that most of their first team players are still on holiday, really important players such as Lucio, Cambiasso and Milito. So there shouldn't be any excuses. We have problems and they're showing terribly in this pre-season. If they're not addressed we'll struggle badly this season Exactly. Totally agreed. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) And when you throw in stronger Roma and Juve, then it gets more scary. QUOTE (han2503 @ Aug 6 2011, 05:59 PM) Neither should be playing, Boateng should be occupying that right side, he's not an AM, he doesn't support his attackers as a proper AM should. Rino was a terrible mistake that I'm predicting that we'll keep seeing a lot this season because he's an Allegri favourite and he won't see reason. I know, that's exactly what I was talking about with my brother, KPB is not an AM, never was. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Bah!

QUOTE (Zed.D @ Aug 6 2011, 01:00 PM) I thought you guys had already realized that Max is afraid of Rino...
@ han
Thankfully I'm not watching so I have no idea how bad we're losing this game. though I don't really care about Super Cup. it's better to win it, sure, but it's not the end of the world if we don't IMO. especially if it decides or at least influences our transfer moves. I don't think it will, just like not making the CL a couple of years ago hasn't, our terrible performances in the league in recent years haven't or our terrible exits in the CL haven't. Like I siad, if Galliani chooses to ignore what's in front of him, win or lose, we still won't get anyone in. If he doesn't have the financial backing then nothing will happen whether we get slaughtered in this or not. So I'd rather not lose this (however unlikely that is with the way we're playing (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) )

QUOTE (CHU-LIP @ Aug 6 2011, 01:03 PM) That was most def. worth another yellow. We're very fortunate with this referee. It could have been game over already, thanks to Gattuso. Allegri should have showed balls and subbed him off during the first half already. Obviously Pato should start the second half instead of him. That's a no brainer.
I still disagree about Gattuso being awful last season, but I'm very worried he will be this season. We're missing Flamini, and that says a lot. I'm also a bit worried about Nesta. Maybe Mexes should be starter afterall once he's fully match fit - which still will take a while. Nesta made a couple of mistakes with his passing but recovered everytime, I think his issues are match fitness related and nothing else. He'll be back into the swing of things. Rino imo is a lost cause and shouldn't see that pitch anymore unless it's Coppa Italia

If he comes on for Boateng or Robinho Allegri will need to get his head examined
