Handanovic with another amazing save (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) That's 4 that could have easily been goals any other day

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Feb 21 2021, 04:51 PM) You're seriously grasping at straws here now mate. Inter have been practically without any long term absences throughout the season. It's about time some bad luck got to them

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Feb 21 2021, 04:52 PM) Inter had 2-3 great chances as well. Again, we deservedly lost this. Let's not look for justifications. Sure, but sometimes things just go your way. Against Atalanta and Spezia for example we did not deserve anything, but today we really worked for it bar those first 20 minutes. We were winning the 50/50s again, pressing aggressively and created the chances. Ball just wouldn't go in. And while Inter were good while we were asleep at the start, we were better after that. Yet they had 2 counters and scored off of both. Yes we were to blame for starting slow, but still we recovered and were hard done by in the end imo Let's see how we respond against Roma now, because the way the table is, we can easily plummet like a rock. Pioli and the team need to pick themselves up quickly. We have been lagging since Christmas now. Either we work to regain our form or all the hard work at the start is thrown out the window

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Feb 21 2021, 04:54 PM) Forget Inter. The scudetto race is over. This game was emblematic. We should look behind our shoulders now. It would still be karmically nice to at least have teams close to us deal with half of what we had to deal with all season. We'll see. Roma is do or die. If we win that we'll get back on track. Inter will stumble just like the rest. We need to make sure that our bad period is behind us and we do that by winning in Rome. I agree that this could turn ugly quickly, but let's stay behind this team. I am angry at the way we started this game, we practically shot ourselves in the foot. But they need to play against Roma as they did from minute 20 today. Doing that should get us the 3 points against them.

Honestly, I'm still more p!ssed off at that Spezia game. Still can't shake that one off. The absolute indifference we showed against them. At least today we fought

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Feb 21 2021, 05:09 PM) In all honesty after this game I am completely unmotivated. This should have been do or die for us and we got humiliated. It takes a lot to get back on your feet after such a debacle, for both fans and players.
The fact this match also paves the path for the scudetto for those f*ckers is seriously, but seriously nerve-wrecking as a Milan fan. The team truly let me down today. True, it will be very difficult. But if Pioli can turn the team he took from Giampaolo into a team that held on to first for 20 weeks, I think we can recover from this Maybe it's because I had already mentally prepared for this. I sort of was expecting a loss today because we haven't been in good shape for a while now. But it's important to keep spirits up so we can turn this around quickly, or a CL spot will also be greatly in jeopardy. Conte has one of the deepest and most talented squads in the league, plus he's experienced in going the distance in title races. It was always an uphill climb for the Scudetto. What we must not do is completely let our heads drop and let the teams below us overtake us or we will surely lose top 4 again. And that is something we absolutely must not let happen. For the sake of the future of this team, losing out on another year of CL income will be a catastrophe, so it's important that the fans and the management stay with this team Everyone has been eagerly waiting for Milan to crumble, the press, the opposing fans, etc. We can't lose our way, so people getting on specific players' backs online and tagging them and sh!t need to cool it. This is why I hate fickle fans on social media. And I really do hope the curva stay with the team and keep urging them on at Milanello like they have done before and not turn their backs on them

If a player starts crumbling because of some online social media BS I say there's something wrong with the player as well.
Romagnoli IMO is not a specially good captain on the field. He's been also very bad consistently this season. Yes, people should calm down for sure. But let's not treat these players like primadonas as well. Decades ago fans shouted all kinds of insults and things to their team and players. Weak players lost their head and started "crying". Good players got motivated and showed their true potential.
The Romagnoli criticism is not based on one or two off games.

The Romagnoli criticism is not based on one or two off games. The social media comment is just an example. There's no point in getting on the players' backs at this moment. My point is fans shouldn't be trolling around when we're winning and then being out for our own players' blood when things don't go our way It's like what happened with Theo's girlfriend when he tested positive for Covid, which was a false positive btw, still didn't detract from the fact that there were supposed fans racially abusing his girlfriend and accusing here that she infected him If you think this doesn't matter then, that's your opinion, but this isn't the 90s anymore, people are defined by what's going on online. Maybe that makes them weak, but it also makes them just like the rest of the global population My point was, we should get behind the team during this time, and not make things worse. We'll circle back to which players deserve to be here or not when the season is over

One thing I hope Pioli doesn't do is over-correct
We shouldn't be changing formations or completely overhauling the system imo. That's a recipe for disaster. He should trust in what has brought him here so far. We just need to make sure that we have a plan B when what we usually do is not working. We clearly struggle a lot when teams press us high, Pioli has to find a solution for how to counter this
