QUOTE (Jack Sparrow @ Sep 4 2006, 07:30 AM) Hoo boy...Paolo was the reason I got hooked onto football. I saw Paolo for the first time playing for the Azzuri, I was a Paolo fan and hence became an Azzuri fan. Had absolutely no knowlege of clubs, at that time in India, football didn't mean much, it's not improved a lot but at least people know what Man U and Chelsea mean... I guess I could say Paolo was the only reason I started supporting Milan, and now look at me, I see the world in red and black... Grazie Paolo in more ways than one...hope to see Maldini Jr. soon...any clue what position he plays?? I hope I can see Maldini Jr slide tackle the sh!t out of Messi( I wanna see the look on dst's face). As skipper...I'm going with Pirlo or Nesta, hard pressed to choose between the two..i was thinking pirlo or nesta too. kaka would be a nice pick as captain since they said he will be dedicated like maldini but he is to young still. nesta would be a good captain choice if he wants to finish his career at milan. pirlo...he is too quiet, not a motivater, at least from what i see on the field |

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Sep 4 2006, 01:16 AM) I`ve said this many times before. We need a rational captain, someone who calms down a possible fight or disruption, someone who can be taken as an example..and do you see the picture now? Sure, Gattuso has great motivating skills, but that he does allways, even without that magicall armband. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) haha well put and its true. the last thing a team needs is having to stop their captain from getting into a fight. |

QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Sep 3 2006, 12:45 PM) Ofcourse u don't and for some reason, I dont feel like it's his last cause he's been with us since I first got into the game .. A loooooong time ago And the day that he hangs up his boots will be a huge blow to us all .. But I think he'll still be strongly involved with Milan and the team (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif) Cuz that's the only thing he has known ever since he got his first contract at Milan. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) o course but it will feel so empty with maldini there, even if he is sidelined with an injury, his presence is there. its weird to see him retire. |

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Sep 2 2006, 09:37 AM) You're wrong, Oliveira will do just fine. I've been following Betis in the 04/05 season when he scored 22 goals and I have to say he really impressed me. That's why I was happy when he was linked with us. He may not have the potential Sheva had, but he's surely faster and more agile. And he's been injured only once. Yes, for a long time, but only once. that might have been what they said about ambrosini the first time (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |

ok, this transfer season was awful. we got gourcuff and bonera which everyone is happy with. favalli was pretty much pointless. and oliveira, he is 26 and no one has heard of him before?? how good can he be that no other club wanted him for the past 6 years. u look at great strikers and by 26 its either make or break, not still trying to get noticed. but its ok, maybe he will shine at milan. our midfield is just pure class, nothing to complain about. it wouldve also been nice to get buffon or amelia, since didas contract expires next season and we have no replacement. |
