We must take chances on our youth players, but Di Gennaro is simply awful. We should have Paloschi, not Inzaghi, as our backup and give him a chance. We have youth players we should give a chance, but we seem to rather sign a worthless Onweyu who makes defensive errors all the time without having the prospect turning into something good, while Albertazzi probably will get loaned out. Or we will play Oddo as central back rather than giving Romagnoli or Albertazzi a chance. QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jun 30 2010, 01:16 AM) Add another "very" from me, as well. QUOTE (il_diavolo_mtl @ Jun 29 2010, 11:54 PM) am i the only one who thinks Di gennaro is going to be an important sub this year, he was pretty dangerous for reggina 2 seasons ago and he was beast on the primavera, i wouldn't be surprised if he puts in some good performances (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I do agree with you, but Di Gennaro is definately not one of those possibilities. H's below average. I saw him in the Coppa games he played last season and it was just awful. He couldn't even control simple balls, his passing accuracy was non existant just terrible. Yes we do need to start developing our own talent since the management is unwilling to spend money on transfers but the Primavera needs an overhaul imo, we're not going to build a great team out of the likes of Di Gennaro and the likes that have come out of our Youth system recently, look at Barca every season a top class youngster from their own system is introduced into the first team and he usually succeeds. Our most promising players recently have been Paloschi, Darmian and Albertazzi and what do we do? We loan one of them, co-own the other and the other is about to go through a similar faith. Galliani talks and talks about developing our own players yet no one ever gives the Primavera players a chance to atleast show what they can do. They are happier playing the likes of Oddo, Janku, Kala in the Coppa then giving these guys a chance QUOTE (sansiro1708 @ Jun 30 2010, 03:43 AM) for my trequartista spot.. is deff VDV... if inter snatched Sneijder for 15mil im sure we could get him around that too.. with him and j.cole... we might be set to battle some trophies. i deff want more but that its a more low budget reality VdV is too much of a lightweight imo to be our starting AM. He's very injury prone. Would I take him if he was available? Yes!!

QUOTE (CHU-LIP @ Jun 30 2010, 08:17 AM) Why is he too much of a lightweight to be a starting AM? Since when does that happen for an AM? Very njury prone? That's not true. Sure he had injuries, but he isn't that injury prone as you say now. Van der Vaart is a very good AM, I'd be thrilled with him. Last season he barely played to get any injuries in the first place. He only started playing by the end of the season when Kaka was injured/off form most of the time. I'm not saying he isn't good enough to start far from it. I just don't think he would be reliable enough, at least not enough to base a system around him being the only sole AM. Like a 4-3-1-2 type of set-up for example

QUOTE (han2503 @ Jun 30 2010, 09:30 AM) Last season he barely played to get any injuries in the first place. I know, but I also know that this is not casual for him. He is no Robben, Borriello, Aquilani, Nesta, ...far from it... It's just one unlucky season... who doesn't have that?
