QUOTE Kaka: Now Let's Think About Sevilla The Brazilian midfielder proved that he's already reached a very good physical condition in this early part of the season. Milan kicked-off their new season with an important and impressive 3-0 win away to Genoa at the Marassi stadium, with Ricky Kaka being the man of the match with two goals and a lot of good movements.
"I'm in form," admitted the Brazilian star, "But now let's thinking about Sevilla."
The Rossoneri will be facing the Spanish side, which won for the second consecutive year the Uefa Cup trophy, on Friday at Monaco in a game which Milan want to win to increase the number of silverware.
"We're in form right now, just like Sevilla, who won yesterday. I'm fine too, but I must still improve in the sprint."
With regards to yesterday's match, Kaka hopes that everything will go back to normal between the Genoa and Milan fans, and that in future there will not be the need to restrict the entrance to one set of fans.
"I hope that our fans can make peace with the Genoa ones," concluded Kaka.

QUOTE Milan Already Gearing Up For Supercup Final The Rossoneri are rounding up their players for the upcoming Supercup final against Sevilla in Montecarlo, with only Maldini and Ronaldo unavailable through injury. Without even having the time to fully celebrate the convincing opening Serie A win at Genoa (3-0), Milan already have to start preparing for the match in Montecarlo against Sevilla on Friday night, which will assign the European Supercup, the first major objective for the Via Turati club.
Massimo Ambrosini will be a part of the game, as the results of today's x-ray exams were satisfactory. It's probable that new purchase Emerson will also be called up, considering that he took part in today's 7-a-side match. It's a different matter for Ronaldo, who seems to be on his way toward a full recovery, but he was still training on his own today along with an athletic preparator.
Captain Paolo Maldini is not fit yet and will certainly not be called up, but for the rest coach Carlo Ancelotti has a full squad available for this mouth-watering clash between the European champions and the Uefa Cup winners. The Rossoneri and Sevilla both made winning starts to the new league season, as Sevilla also got a big win, defeating Getafe 4-1 at home last weekend.

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Aug 28 2007, 09:33 AM) On SSN this morning: Dani Alves has denied refusing to travel with the team, they're 2-0 up and both he and the team feel it's best to let him recover from his injury properly, rather than risk him. We all know this is a complete lie.. I don't even remember him getting injured! Sevilla president was furious on Alves,... I must say..all these filthy players - Gallas who said he would score own goals, Heinze who threatened and forced a transfer, Dani A. who lets his team down,..O please,... QUOTE REGULAR DAY FOR MASSIMO AMBROSINI 8/28/2007
MILAN - After coming off the pitch during the second half of Genoa-Milan for a knock to his knee, today Ambro did not have any problems. The magnetic scan gave positive results, after Ambro had already felt good this morning. Today Ambro will probably be able to train, without forcing himself, while from Wednesday he will be able to prepare with his team mates for the European Supercup final on Friday against Sevilla in Montecarlo. I did not know that's the reason why he was substituted but this is good news! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Aug 28 2007, 12:58 PM) Sevilla president was furious on Alves,... (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/puke.gif) I did hear about his president and what he said. They reported it last night on SSN, but it was this morning that Alves denied it, if there's an injury, the president is just being a d!ck, otherwise Alves is not deserving of the Sevilla shirt.

The below is from the club website. The club has offered its condolences regarding the loss of Puerta and has offered to play the Supercoppa at a later time.
----

Nice gesture by Milan. And it seems like this game will be played at a later time as UEFA will soon announce the postponement (for next Monday) of Sevilla's tonight's CL qualifier against AEK...
