While we are all happy about the derby win and reaching 4th place we should not be thinking of this as a success by no means...

QUOTE (Bluesummers @ May 5 2008, 05:24 PM) i agree with prince. Pirlo is no longer required in this team to play well. Now its kaka. If kaka plays well, we win. If he doesn't we tie or lose. This comment is partly true, but not completely, look at some of the through passes that Pirlo made, most of them were turned into chances for Kaka to start his runs. On the other hands, when Kaka really is flying, you just can't touch him, no matter who is playing behind him. But in the end both players are important and untouchable for Milan in defferent way, Pirlo dictates the tempo while Kaka just drives the team forward. QUOTE (Tennie @ May 5 2008, 05:39 PM) We'll get a chance to test that theory next weekend at the San Paolo in Naples. (for what it's worth, I disagree with the theory. A Pirlo who dictates tempo and has his passing shoes on - if not his free kick shoes - is in my opinion veryvery important to how Milan does as a team. I recognize that others don't share the view, however.) Agreed. I think that if there was no Pirlo to provide Kaka with the passes that he does, then he would find it difficuilt to start his runs

Yesterday though only Kaka was smart enough to keep the ball and cool the tempo in the last twenty minutes when everyone else had gone off! But yeah Pirlo is the Puppet Master, there's no doubt about it. He's so elegant and classy it's unreal... damn, I love this guy!

It is true if pirlo doesnt win the ball, it means alot of the time kaka' can't be set on his own way. Its the same as saying if gattuso and ambro don't win the ball in the middle as much either of them would have these chances. This is why its a team game, where everyone does there job and you get a result. The thing is some jobs are more glamourous than others and hence the importance is seen differently. But right now kaka' is dictating both the tempo and attacking moves at the moment and is really at the top of his game. I mean there is no one in world football like pirlo when he's on song, the problem is when he isn't its like playing with 10 men. Plus with the way his FKs hav been of recent, he's not providing a great deal as the supposed engine of the milan team. This is why right now if kaka' is on song we'll win alot more than we lose. But if pirlo were on song as well, then yeah well good luck to the opposition. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)

Today's training has taken place. Lots and lots of work with the ball today: one on ones, mini-games without keepers, mini-games with keepers, etc. Pato and Gilardino scored nice goals in the practice game. Il Capitano and Dida are still hurt. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Inzaghi, Bonera, Gattuso, Seedorf and Kalac did specific work to make a good start to the work in advance of Napoli-Milan.

Unfortunately, rescuing 4th in the way we may do could be our downfall. The management will not be missing out on the CL, so they won't wake up. They've bought us a good player, but in possibly the position we needed the least. I'm not confident in them, especially as I really don't think Silvio is that interested anymore, we'll have to wait and see I suppose.

It doesn't depend on if we get 4th or not. I think the management has seen how bad we have done this season nd that we struggled to win etc etc I think Flamini was a good beginning for the summer transfers (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) And we someone like him. He will do what Emerson was supposed to do this year. To rest some other players like pirlo. You mean Silvio isn't interested in Milan anymore?!! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) It doesn't mean he doesn't care anout it any more only because he is premier...

And if nothing happens, we'll do a Coup d'etat and take over (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

If we manage to clinch the CL spot it won't be a bad season, I'd say an average one. What was bad were our transfers. We didn't sign the right players we needed except Pato, and (in my view) some coaching decision were terrible, but apart from that the only thing we could have done, considering the roaster and the injuries we had and their timing, is securing the CL sooner.
