New Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon is persistent on
acquiring the world class services of Kaka, Arjen Robben and Arsenal's
young sensation Cesc Fabregas

During his election manifesto, Calderon claimed the Spain international
was one of three players he would bring to the Bernabeu.

He remains committed to snapping up Fabregas and believes an
agreement is in place with the player.

Calderon will now turn his attentions to talking Arsenal into a sale
and is optimistic he can fulfil his election pledge.

"Cesc Fabregas, who is playing at Arsenal, wants to come here
and I have been talking to him previously," Calderon told Sky Sports News.

"I have to now get in touch with Arsenal as they have the last
word in this case.

"I know (Predrag) Mijatovic has been in touch with his representative
and he said that he is very much interested in joining Real Madrid.

"I haven't been in touch with David Dein. He is a good friend of mine
and I have met him many times.

"If we can get an agreement, it's something we can do. We have a
good opportunity of having that player with us.

"I think it's a bit more than 50/50, let's say 70 percent."

Chelsea winger Arjen Robben and Milan playmaker Kaka were
the other players on Calderon's wish-list and he confirmed talks are ongoing.

He added: "We're trying to bring three of them here and Robben
is the first one.

"I think Mijatovic is in charge of that and he has been in touch
with (Chelsea owner Roman) Abramovich and I think everything will be okay.

"In theory they can get an agreement. With the player everything
will be okay as the player wants to come here to Real Madrid.

"The third one is Kaka, the Brazilian player in Milan. We know it's
going to be difficult because Milan doesn't want to sell the player.

"If the player decides to leave, it will give us more opportunities."

Am I the only one that remembers Calderon saying Kaka had told them he wanted to join Madrid ???

No you're not the only one, this is getting more hilarious by the minute.

Well he has already crossed one of the names from the list since Cappello is going there but that is no surprise, like Cappello would ever stay and coach a team in serie B, so that shouldn't count as an achievment by him since everyone knew that Cappello was leaving from Juve since they had no hope in playing in serie A next season.

Calderon:
"I think Mijatovic is in charge of that and he has been in touch
with (Chelsea owner Roman) Abramovich and I think everything will be okay."

Peter Kenyon:
"The Arjen Robben situation could not be any clearer.

''There have been no meetings or conversations between the Real Madrid sporting director Predrag Mijatovic with any Chelsea officials, anyone mandated to act on Chelsea's behalf or owner Roman Abramovich about Arjen's future.

"Any indication that a transfer is possible is completely untrue. We will not be entertaining any offers for Arjen, he is not for sale."

Now that Capello took over? Everything is possible...C. Ronaldo will join them, I think it´s a sure deal. Robben and Kaka? Two options - first, Calderona made "a shot in dark" and is only tasting his ground. But the second one is much more dangerous...who is the first man that took explicite profit of the Italian scandal? Well, Calderon with Capello. So maybe this Calderon knows much more than we, and has more informations of the trail. Hmmm, with Moratti (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) ?

With Capello... you doubt that Real will be on the top again?

It will be nice to see a real Barca - Real clash again!? But they are now the favorites both in domestic and european championships. As for the transfers, I think Capello also has something to say...and he allways picks some players

Yup. Spanish 'La Liga' will be great this season.

Capello wanted Joaquin for Juve... I bet he'll get him. Robben for the left, Joaquin for the right... what a wings it would be.

Superclassicos Real Madrid-Barcelona this season will be great. Not as the last season.

Although Cappello does seem to have lost his touch, maybe old age is really getting to him, I mean to struggle with Juve when they have good players and are being helped to get good results is not good, I still don't see Real dominating neither the CL or the La Liga but maybe the Coppa Del Ray (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I think Capello has many motives to good job at Real, and he will do it...After his late Juve sucess is scattered in the lights of the Seria A scandal he surely want´s to prove his quality...also he failed once at Real, so that also is a big motivation factor. We shouldn´t consider the Juve years of Capello, since there is not clear what was fixed and what not. Capello is now on his ultimate test - Real Madrid, and I see him winning there. But one thing is in his way - he allways relied on a great defensive line. But now? And nobody mentiones any defenders linked with Real...maybe Cannavaro?

I think that Cappelo (it's official alread right?) Real will get back on track, and I'd like to see it in spain, espacially Real beating Barca (show that Ronaldinho is nothing)
I think besides Cannavaro, Capello will take Ibra with him. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)
