I think the problem with this team, besides the poor lapses in defense, is the midfield. We've always criticized the defense and the attack for the previous loses and draws, but what about the midfield? Pirlo, Brocchi, Seedorf, Kakà... they're showing nothing of what they're capable of. Pirlo hasn't done much the entire season, along with Seedorf. Kakà and Brocchi had both an amazing first half season, but it seems this year has started in a wrong way for both of them. I've always said it, if Kakà plays bad, the whole squad plays bad. The only one that has showed all his strength and spirit has been Gattuso, which we should all applause cause he deserves it. I can't make any judgments about Ambrosini or Gourcuff since they haven't got enough play time. So all I'm saying is we should make a couple of good signings in midfield next summer, cause we definitely lack creativity and motivation in that section of the field. Pirlo, Seedorf and even Kakà need to have some competition for their place in the starting 11, otherwise we're not going anywhere like this.

han makes a great point. i have always wanted to see seedorf play in front of the defense. he is big and strong enough to have a nice physical presence when fighting for position..and even though he can't seem to show it recently..he has superior technical dribbling and passing ability..we all know this from the way he orchestrates the attack when he plays in kaka's position. (see the reggina game from a few weeks ago) Also, gourcuff may not have a lot of speed..and hasn't had a great opportunity to show his stuff..but from the little weve seen of him, hes strong on the ball..and links up smartly with the others. Im sure he and janku could work decently on the left..and if serginho could ever make it back gourcuff would have the ability to link up with kaka or clarence in the middle..or send serginho on his blazing runs down the left..and eventually hopefully hell get a shot on target once in a while..i honestly think that oliveira, gourcuff, and bonera need to become everyday players..at least give gila and oli a chance..does carlo forget oli is a 22 goal scorer? once healthy..with bonera, maldini, nesta, and kala in the center..oddo, janku, and sergio on the sides..and oli and gila building chemistry..we won't even need new players..thats my take.

Yep CHange is what this team needs. carlo must leave, he should step down. Def. needs 2 young guys (cafu, simic and billy must leave). 2 creative midfielders. and 2 new forwards (boriello never had his place in this squad and we cant keep guys who cheat and take banned substances, pippo is a great guy but come on he's gonna be 35?.... he's gotta go)
