Wow, the Bonucci signing is World Class. One of the top 3-4 defenders in the world, and on top of that stolen from a direct rival for $40M. That is a statement signing. If we somehow manage to get Belotti after all of this, this may go down as the best transfer window ever.
This team is really starting to take shape. I would say that CL is looking better and better by the day with these guys. Add to the fact that most of the players we have brought in are young guys who will only get better, and things are beginning to look up for us. We deserve this after the last few years we have been through. As to Danny's point about Alphas... Biglia and Bonucci definitely qualify as Alpha players. Biglia isn't the most technically gifted but he lifted an overall average Lazio team to become a dangerous squad since he has been there. Plus he plays for Argentina regularly and always looks like one of the leaders of that team when he plays with them. Bonucci goes without saying as an Alpha. The guy was one of the best players on the team that went to the CL final this year and he can bring his experience to a backline that is looking like the strongest in the league. |

If there is the slightest of opportunities we should get him. Also, Belotti might be young but he's a great personality to have on the team As for our defence, I don't see it as the best in the league just yet, I think they have to actually play a game together before we can assess.
